- testing spell order/coordination in a group
- to a limited extent, comparing DPS contribution of different items -- how does +4 crit compare to +75 spell dmg or a particular proc? Keep in mind raid buffs can change the calculation if they push any attribute over a soft or hard cap.
- letting others identify shortcomings with your equipment

Sadari got it 100%.
A fella thinking Training Dummy parses is even near accurate in any combat environment is an idiot. However, the TD parses do provide a baseline.
Delaying damage casts to better coordinate with JCap, CoB, Dispatch, or other procs would hurt your DPS especially since it depends on the other player casting the stuff being a slackass. I do not know about waiting more than 10 seconds, if that, to DPS just on ya HOPING that JCap, CoB, Dispatch, or other proc will activate.

Re: Training Dummy
Sounders are doing so great, in 3rd place! Poor Sigi leaving the best team in the MLS for the Sounders.

Re: Training Dummy
I highly doubt Sigi expected to be moving to a #1 team on its debut year. Also, I doubt his bank account is regretting it.
Besides, no one has won the cup this year... and frankly, yellow kits blow.

Re: Training Dummy
I noticed you got 21 crush hits in but only 11 prismatics, could prolly improve your dps tons getting prismatic up more often.

Re: Training Dummy
Might have been his Personae swinging?
But yea, if those were all his swings, definitely more Prismatic in the diet would help.

I'd agree -- don't delay spell casting hoping some slackass is going to cast a useful spell to multiply your damage. On the other hand, if you know you're going to get certain buffs/debuffs at certain times, you can change your behavior to maximize your damage.
Most of our guilds' coordination is based on the pull -- we know XXX (depending on the troub's JCap timers) will get JCap just before the pull and the brigand(s) will be casting dispatch at YY and ZZ seconds into the fight.
If you're only going to cast PoM once per fight, then timing it with dispatch makes sense (assuming PoM will be used up before the mob dies). If you get JCap at the pull, starting with PoM will let you get a second PoM off on mobs with enough hit points.
Of course, with the *massive* drop in hit points for palace mobs, it's eliminated one of our better training and testing grounds.

Re: Training Dummy
a DA shows as two swings in ACT.
Btw I had prismatic on the whole time in the parse, hence the hits are twice as much.
duh?
