Re: Training Dummy
Overall, your solo DPS is good. You're beating a large number of illusionists I've seen. Heck, when I first dinged 80, I was pushing to get 2k DPS before I started to gear up and get AA's.
Things the training dummy is good for:
- In general, any DPS improvement on the training dummy will be a DPS improvement in raid
- Obvious exception: in raid, you need to coordinate your powerful spells (chromatic, PoM, etc.) with your teammates (dispatch, JC, etc.)
- testing spell order solo
- testing spell order/coordination in a group
- to a limited extent, comparing DPS contribution of different items -- how does +4 crit compare to +75 spell dmg or a particular proc? Keep in mind raid buffs can change the calculation if they push any attribute over a soft or hard cap.
- letting others identify shortcomings with your equipment
Looking at your parse, I'd suggest:
- your damage is low. If your +spell damage and INT are capped, look for +base dmg or +crit bonus items
- your +crit is maxxed. Swap some out.
- long term, you'll want to break up your amor set and lose crippling magical affliction. Just one or two of the right pieces would justify losing the set bonus.
