There are times in my spell rotation where I squeeze in tumor for extra damage, but in certain fights I time it for a memwipe or to help healers stabilize a tank.
I also pair dazzling array and lustrous regalia together when all main spells are down and temporary proc buffs are up. Shimmering Beam, Dazzling Array/Lustrous Regalia, Shimmering Beam for example.
On 3+ mob group encounters don't forget to squeeze in all 5 of our encounter spells (including group mezz). In the right group and with a fair amount of proc gear you can do alot of group dps.

Re: Max DPS - Maximimizing Raid DPS for an Illusionist
some swarm pets reset if you mez things, not sure if its repeatable, but some do, like UT. so be careful when you throw a mez in to try and get a proc. seems to work the same as it does when you solo and you mez something, your pet instantly backs off. not sure if it was fixed, was pointed out by a necro one raid, i rarely did it unless i'd screwed my spell chains and had nothing else up.
but on brownies in EH i do sometimes use both PBAoE de-agro's to proc PoM, still often gets me killed, so i try not to make a habbit of it.

Really? I've been just killing myself by jumping off stuff :\

timing manaflow while savante is up is a really good thing since you're only paying 5% and getting back 20% if you target yourself, it even ends up giving you more power if you target someone else.

Thanks for this info. I've always used a simlar order like most, I have adjust for the situation, zone, etc. Now with the recent changes of not having to stay under 30% power, and gaining two new direct damage nukes. Has your order changed? Or where would you put our stun/nuke and stifle/nuke in this rotation.
If this is the wrong post to reply in.. my apologies, but this post is referred to in all of the other "what should I cast threads" as the official Casting Order thread. So here I am asking the above and reviving an old thread I may be guilty of.

Re: Max DPS - Maximimizing Raid DPS for an Illusionist
I've changed my order a lot since then. Chronosiphoning is out as it's wasted now, Tributlion is still casted early but not very often anymore as it's only needed. Dazzling Array is gone as well. I basically pushed Lesion and Drain up there, while the Stun is a waste of time to cast as it doesn't actually trigger all the time which makes it a waste. UStorm is also not casted as often anymore because of the change to Lesion and Drain a while ago.
Basically setup a prioirty of:
Prismatic Adornment
Chromatic Shower
Brainclot(Master)
Ultraviolet Beam
Brainclot(Adp3)
Storm(AE)
Lesion
Drain Consciousness(Master)
Pessimism
Drain Consciousness(Adp3)
Storm(Single)
While casting Construct and Chronosiphoning at the very start of the fight, else don't bother casting Construct at all, unless the AEs are lined up in a way that will let you do so.
