Re: Need some help, please
im quit puzzeled over that blue spell stuff
i got loads of green and red once...
but the only logic thing, that springs to mind, that he wants you to cast is paranoia.
when he/she says blue spell.
anyways im almost sure every classe have some kind of stunn or interupt they can cast on pull, to avoid thoes aoe´s

Re: Need some help, please
Actually, the AE mez is green (encounter only). They are talking about Barrier of Intellect which reduces threat in an AE range, and also locks them down for ~6s (I don't have access to the spell details, but it's about that long). Barrier is also the only blue spell that illusionists get
Recast on the spell is >2m though, so it's not going to get a lot of use.
Edit:
If you're talking about the books fight, you can use bewilderment (the stun), which will pause damage every so often. Save barrier for when things start getting out of hand, such as the lock/wizard pulling aggro, though it'll only help so much depending on the dps output and the tanks ability to maintain aggro.

Re: Need some help, please
Yeah, because a mez that doesn't affect epics is definitely the spell they're talking about!
No, they're talking about Coercer's pbae stun, because they're dumb.
It's a good thing that most books are epic, so again your edit is fucking pointless.

Re: Need some help, please
Tell them to stop moaning about interrupts and fucking self cure the dot off the tunnel trash. As for the books, if the tanks don't hold them, you're not going to save the day.

Or tell your tank to not be retarded, and interupt it himself. A decent tank will not allow the mob to get the ae off on inc, and it will be dead before it has a chance to cast it again. The other other reason to use an AE stun would be the adds on the fire mob. If that is the case, u can 1) kill the adds, 2) overwhelm the named with dps and just burn it,or 3) mes all the adds.
BTW.. you need to interupt the ae.. If you want to stun it, you have to pull the mob with stun, then hope after the stun fades, someone interupts it.

Re: Need some help, please
A stun or mez will not interrupt an epic target; you are looking for CAs/spells that say "Interrupts target". The interrupt that people are requesting that you use is your STR2 AA. If you do not have it, I'm not sure an illusionist can interrupt. A coercer, however, can. They have hemorrhage. It's not entirely dependable, but alongside another interrupt, it'll do the job.
Guardians can interrupt it pretty well. Other tank classes may have problems interrupting it. Paladin has two interrupts, but both are spells, so there is a somewhat significant chance that a paladin will fail to interrupt the AE cast (probably along the lines of 10% chance). What the other classes have, I do not know.
The advice that you should allow those AEs to hit the raid is pretty ridiculous. If you aren't spec'd STR, find somebody else that can interrupt. Spending one second interrupting an AE is a lot less effort and a lot easier than dealing with cures, rezzes, lost dps, and repair bills.
