Solo set up vs Raid - a question
Howdy. Still grinding up my toon, she is 54. Planning to make her my "new main". Right now as I am not raiding, tell me what a good set up is. I hate to solo, and I love to group SO I got TC and Arm and I use it as a selling point for groups to pick me up. Was this dumb? It seems to work. Been getting groups consistently since I have been spamming
"level 54 illus lfg, I got time compression for you casters and Illusory arm for you fighters"
Which if people don't know, they ask, and then respond "Kick ASS!" and I get picked up.
I have filled my Illusionist tree and now have to pick the chanter options. I started down strength. Is that a good line to start with? Again keep in mind I am not raiding ... yet. Hopefully in a month. Maybe I will have to contact Sfdfdffdfs at ************* and use "safe power leveling! Use dicount code!"
Thanks
L.

Re: Solo set up vs Raid - a question
Not really much difference between your solo setup and raid aa setup honestly. Since there's only so few useful AAs worth a fuck, and they work both for raiding and soloing.

STR might be fun i guess for none raiding, but you're still much better off going AGI (48732). most raiders then finish off with INT for added DPS from crits and savante.

Re: Solo set up vs Raid - a question
Agi and Int are really the only way to go with KOS, but the only change i could slightly see is with EOF aa's not getting time compression is you solo because the bonus to the dot's would be negligible, and i'd go for faster pet recast and maaaaybe single target mezzes, but you still won't have a massive amount of aa's if you're soloing still so that really wouldn't matter.

Re: Solo set up vs Raid - a question
Anyone have any idea what line you should go down first? I was thinking Time would be best, just because in early levels it looks like it would be most useful, but someone else suggested Agi, which wouldn't be too bad since it'll take some practice to get good at that line anyways.

Re: Solo set up vs Raid - a question
I suggest AGI 4/8/8/3/2 first, then Phantasmal Shock/Migraine/Storm of Colors from the time line (dont get color shower unless you are 50, wasted AAs before then).
Now, if you really are primarily solo, as in almost all the time, and you want to be soloing heroics, i suggest you get Sleep/Binding Light/Phantasmal Splendor from the Penetration line, just so that you can AE mezz well. Its not really needed or anything, but its worth decreasing the risk of a resist when soloing in a heroic dungeon of yellows IMO, especially if you can't find the master for your tier.
After that, it doesn't really matter.
