Well im sorry that i dont have a completely perfect connection to this game. Just sucks that they kind of ninja nerfed us without any explanation in update notes, which brings me to beleive this is a bugged game mechanic.

I really don't think it caused us to be overpowered, just not sure on the best strategy on keeping up haste/dps now. Just means we have to go after spell haste gear now, where before it really didnt matter.

We needed a nerf. We still need a nerf. This was just 1 of many I fully expect to come to us. We are overpowered, end of story. We do too much damage, if you don't like the fact that we will be nerfed, oh well. Expect it, Illusionists are one of, if not THE, most overpowered classes in-game.

If I didn't know better I'd think that my remark hit a little too close to home. But I'm sure you're aware that I have a 70 coercer that shares the KoS AA's with the illusionist class, and I'm doubly sure you're aware that I've said the AGI line is a huge contributor to the fun of playing an enchanter. Tinkering with cast and recovery rates while every sane illusionist raids with Sprint turned on should be an obvious misallocation of effort and detrimental to my interests. Don't ever expect me to keep quiet about that.

That said, have I policed you every time you strayed from the Illusionist forum?

Why is he banned for that comment? Are changes to VM out of bounds?

I know I'm not the best Illu out there (and feel free to ban me for just being too stupid or inept for your taste) but don't the changes to cures make you question the 30% mana for VM?

With the changes to cures in some fights it's all I can do to manaflow healers non-stop. There's no manaflow on Veign. With decent gear my restriction is not on my power pool, it's on the recast timer for manaflow.

So now I'm manaflowing, keeping Perpetuality up, trying to keep my power under 30% while my FT gear does too much, sprinting to offset it, and trying to keep my dps up but not stun any adds on pull.

Doesn't this seem a bit silly to you? I enjoy playing an Illu but I kinda laugh when friends roll Illu alts and ask me how to play the class. Then I send them here and wish them luck.

I roll my eyes every little incident that happens in a raid because at this point I know Calaglin and whoever else in his guild will (a) hear it out of context, and (b) use it to revitalize any vulnerable argument on eq2flames.

What Calaglin can't detail for you is the experience of dying to a 5-6K attack from the adds no less, the moment I got rezzed. Or the experience of being immobile for 10 seconds without an ailment icon. Because he wasn't there. Nor has he ever said much about my health pool, nor my inability to force an RNG to drop every piece of gear I need to bring it to par.

But none of this matters to the thread, because Calaglin has yet to talk away the silliness that is today's Volatile Magic.
