Maybe you should feel flattered they care enough to follow what you're doing. Nobody's dogging my missteps, thank god.

Re: Perpetuality - such a piece of crap now
How is Volitile Magic overpowered? Are you missing the part that says you need to lose 70% of your power before you can even use it? Or perhaps the part that requires 14 AA points in useless abilities (I'm only counting the non-crit AA's) that no one needs before you can even select it?
Sure, it's a powerful AA, but don't think for a second it doesn't have it's cons.
And Vayn, people generally don't like Illuminator because he loves to post worthless, one-liners on every single thread. Some of his posts are useful reading, but most are just there to intice.

Re: Perpetuality - such a piece of crap now
VM has enough drawbacks to make it powerful but not overpowered. Its a battle of power management, and sometimes you just have to throw it away if the raid needs it.
Illum, why are you even here, except to incite people? You don't play an illusionist, and the only reason you popped up in here is because you saw a chance to scream "OMGZ NERF SOMEONE ELSE BECAUSE I SUCK AT LIFE AND CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO PLAY MY CLASS!!!" You've been doing that for the last few months, and its really getting annoying. Either stop 2 boxing long enough to learn your classes, or just stop talking like you know what the fuck you're saying. And for the millionth time, gear only gets you so far. If you suck, you'll still suck with the Robe of Al'Kabor.

It still owns, when there's less lag than usual, but it gets annoying but *meh*, it balances us a bit more with other DPS classes again.

Hmm, you think illusionists are overpowered, I think most of us agree. But what about coercers? Them too? They do share the KoS aa's, so if the intention was to reduce illus dps a bit, it does backfire on coercers too.
Anyway, I'm curious what you think should be 'nerfed' with the illusionist class to make it balanced?

Actually Vayn, some people feel threatened by what I write because half the time it cuts through the bullshit and fluff and smoke and mirrors and pinches a nerve. But a lot of people have their noses in each others' asses, are babysitting the brownie point counter because it's the only positive attention they get in their lives, and lack the courage or the ability to say something for what it is. In other words, the same flaws and cracks hurting today's political system. If you've ever heard the term "silent majority", now's the time to smell the roses.
Throw away 14AA's for a straight 30% boost in damage? Who wouldn't? If so many illusionists are running through long raid zones with Sprint turned on the entire time, where's the evidence of collective pain being felt? And do you think illusionists are the only players who have to deal with situational dps?
Calaglin displays a lag-free zw EH parse where he beats two wizards with the Robe. But will Elanie send them the same insults she sends me? Does she even understand square one that coercers and illusionists share the KoS AA's discussed here and that changing them will affect both classes?
But this is where the drama comes from, and Elanie seems to crave it as much as anyone. People not reading, and people getting butthurt to every little response when the question of the day calls instead for vigorous debate where some people are right and some people are wrong and they move forward and try a different angle. And then I get pulled deeper into their morass and that gets tiresome.
But then again, my vision for this site was unfettered freedom and other peoples' vision was unfettered flames. And now some people are even trying to carve out certain forums as sovereign fiefdoms. Sad. You are all welcome in my Wizard forum any time you please.

And in a site of unfettered freedom there would not be unfettered flames? How does that work? Maybe our definitions of freedom are different, but if people are free to do they want then that includes being conceited and rude as well being intelligent and generous. I see plenty of both on this site, even though the ratio of flames to discussion tips heavily towards the flames side. I think that was to be expected, though, considering the site's name.
But I have no idea what's going on in this thread. That last paragraph just made me wonder. Flame at will.
