OK, this is a total newb question. How do I change the title under my name. "lil newbie" is not my first choice. Or does it have something to with how long I've been a member of the site?

Second newb question. How does a semi-computer literate person get a signature box with a picture? Is there a website you could link? Preferably one like sigsfordummies.com
Anything with how-to/walk thru would be much appreciated.

1. Post Count/Referrals. I got my title for 5 referrals.

2. Find someone in your guild who can make you one, or someone on your server. An ex-guildie of mine made my current one and I love it.

Ummm, wait. I would like to learn how to do it myself, if possible. Any info/tips ?

Your best bet is to find some good information on Photoshop and learn how to use it to make sigs. :-)

You could just pay $10. The benefits are three fold:

The way I learned to make signatures was by starting in paint with a screen shot from in game and slapping some letters on it. But that was many many years ago. I downloaded some generic graphics programs after that, and eventually sucked it up and got Photoshop which blows all of them out of the water as far as what you can do with it if you know what you're doing.

Try going to download.com and look for "graphic editors." Its a good way to find free or free-to-try software and you can try your own hand at making a signature. This site offers free upload space (you can see a "quick upload" hotlink when you make a reply if you don't use the quick reply box) and you can upload it to there, then link to it in your signature using [img ]URL of image [/img ] tags (no spaces tho).

Or if you're a masochist, go learn GIMP. Free (as in speech) software with the crappiest UI ever.

I use Fireworks myself.. so just make a canvas of the size limited and throw shit on there, then save it and uploade it to the signature part under ur profile
