Punishment spells, when to use them.
Our punishments...lackluster or not understood?
1. Compelled Repentence - I have tried to experiment with this ability, which looks to have the most potential to be good among out punishments, but im lucky if it even triggers once during a fight. I have tried to put it on a mob just before its AoE timer is called out, mob AoE's and stupid thing still has 3 triggers left. And from what I have heard, certain mobs will trigger it way more than 3 times doing one AoE. Anybody have any luck with this or know of any specific encounters it works good on? I will give it credit though in duels against melee, ROFL, pwnd.
2. Heresy - Now this I cant see being anything more than very useful in duels, and I mean VERY useful, this + compelled repentence on almost any SK = inquis wins.
3. Fanatical Vengeance - This also looks like it could be good maintained on a mob, however since im @ work right now I dont have access to the power costs and I dont remember how much dmg it does per trigger.
4. Heretic's Destiny - Only thing I can think of this being used for is maybe Mayong adds, Elaani, Treah really just anything with adds, but how useful is it? I don't contend for Avatars in my guild, although I would imagine with all those waves of adds it could prove useful.
Anybody have any good input for the Punishments? What about any saved parses? If no parses are put up, the next time I raid ill show my parse and what kind of impact they make on DPS.
--Edit--
Also if you have any input on a good time to use a certain punishment against a certain mob please let it be known, because i NEVER EVER EVER use ANY of these spells in raids, ever, and there has to be a good reason to use them, i just know it.

Well either than pvp those spells never get used for me.
Well I sometimes use the lower tier ones with power vamp gear and spam them to help regen some mana.

Re: Punishment spells, when to use them.
All those spells are really useful to me in PvP... however Im guessing that aint what you're talking about.
Solo, both Devotee's and Vengeance get used (on melee mobs). If I know the mob is a caster, just Vengeance.
Grouping, just Vengeance.
With the AA maxed, Vengeance can account for quite a bit of my dps, especially soloing. I guess it depends on how much a raid mob manages to hit the tank. But at level 65, for 105 power, ~330 (no debuffs) per tick, and 8 ticks, its pretty efficient damage.

Compelled Repentence works good on Cheldrak.

Re: Punishment spells, when to use them.
These suffer the same problems as Coercer reactives. Outside of a few isolated cases (like Cheldrak) they just don't trigger often enough on debuffed mobs. They work slightly better in other circumstances, but in those circumstances the mobs are usually dead before all the triggers are used.
Linking a class's damage to something a raid does everything in their power to prevent is idiotic. Reactive damage does not work as a source of signifigant DPS. At least this class does not have to rely on reactive damage for DPS like Coercers do.

Re: Punishment spells, when to use them.
I'm not a coercer, so I'm not whining. But yes, they do blow.
