I recently hit 80 and went back and started upgrading my new spells to adept III's. After making my main reactive and a few others, I noticed that the higher level adept IIIs were worse than my older master I's. Like most older inqui's, all of my decent spells were master I for awhile. Now that I have new spells...none of the adept IIIs are better. This disappoints me because that means our new masters probably aren't that much better than our older masters.

I haven't seen the new masters yet, but I don't expect to see a significant increase over the adept IIIs and if the older master I's are better than the current adept IIIs...then its probably going to be even more disappointing.

lvl 80 Adept III - 27power/cast, 27p/6s to maintain, 92 int buff, 8.4% reuse speed buff, 58% haste

Notice that Devotion costs more to maintain, is worse than the lvl 70 master version and has the same haste and reuse buff as the 70 adept III version.

Obviously the lvl 70 adept III should be worse than the lvl 80 adept III...I was comparing the level 70 master to the level 80 adept III

i also have that problem for example my consetrated arua is 1064 hp and 32 dps
the t8 upgrade actually worse that that i have master for t7 and the adpet 3 for t8 should it not be greater than t7 ? it has in every other tier?

I'm currently level 79 and so far all adept 3's are minor upgrades to the T7 M1, stat-wise that is (not considering resistability).

I agree that T8 ad3 should be better than T7 M1 or at least equal. Having a lower haste on ad3 devotion compared to M1 fanaticism is silly, IMO.

the M2 choices are kinda screwed also.

we have m2 fanatic healing at level 60+ ,we arent going to upgrade it with an adept 3 or less. I m not sure that even the m1 T8 will be better.

and the m2 zeal is not a best choice either as the upgrade is kinda marginal.

For the rest, aye, i p just upgrading my T7 adepts 1 or adepts 3 (on minor spells or very rare m1 ones ) , rest of masters are enough.

The M2 are poor for a lot of classes, it looks like they just turned away from the staple M2 choices of all classes. I think the issue with the adept3 not being much better (if that) is from a couple of things. First, spells like Fanaticism that have % component will never upgrade too good, at least that part of the spell (haste + reuse speed) but the INT part should upgrade and it does, barely although no one will call that an upgrade.

On Consecrated Aura, adept 3 Tenacity is 32 to dps and 1065 hit points, M1 Consecrated Aura is 31 to dps and 964 hit points, it's an upgrade, most people get confused because they are looking at Consecrated Aura with the 5 piece bonus from the Chaplain T7 set which gives +10 dps and +100 hit points. Wether that should apply to Tenacity as well is another discussion thought.

Another point is, should adept3 be better than M1 of the previous tier? It looks like SOE thinks that they should be comparable, just as Legendary T8 is comparable to Fabled T7. In my mind that makes sense (not that I Agree with it), why should it apply to equipment but not spells?

One thing to consider is how easy you can get adept 3s, really. Granted, due to the long period of T7, M1s were mostly not hard to get neither, but M1 are generally harder to get since you can't pull them out of the ground (wearing a drachnid costume.. ;-)).

I believe Arch Healing AD3 was an upgrade to M2 Fanatical healing, as I use that now, so it must be... lol.

And I think its just priests stuck with crap for M2s, My SK has some sexy looking M2 choices.
