Default Healing Ability

Ok i've came back to Eq2 starting over as an SK i've managed to get my friend to play with me

My question is shes stuck between Inquisitor or Defiler

I can't say i know to much about either ive grouped with good Defilers and Inquisitors which would be better for a duo i know the wards on a defiler are powerful and the debuffs for disease/poison

While Inquis has Reactives and nice procs and debuffs also

Which would be more logical for the duo I know both are good but which would benefit the duo more?

id nominate the inquis there since youll need some DPS when duoing and defiler is not a source of damage by any means

I would suggest the Inquisitor aswell. Simply because reactives are strong as your leveling up, they peter our during raids a bit but they are definatly great for duoing with. Also once you guys get up in level she will have things like Zeolotry and other neat DPS enhancing tricks, that you as a SK will appreciate more. Defilers get good debuffs but their ability to do dps is minimal and sometimes in a pinch you want someone there helping ya destroy the mob with ya. Inquisitor Battle Cleric line will give them almost as much bang as a SK as far as dps goes.

SK and Inquisitor are very very similar. They mesh well together too. Defiler are nice in the long run but it doesn't appear to me your trying to jump right into a hard core raid guild and spend every waking moment killing epics, so in that respect Inquisitor prolly is your better choice. Providing of course she doesn't mind using combat arts and healing and just being busy all the time. She can just heal and her buffs will be good but if she melees it will be that much more helpful to you and her.

Good Luck

I'd go Defiler, I think both hit/debuff disease and you won't have to fight for gear as much.

This is almost always the right way to do it while leveling up. ;)

There is a great guide stickied here up top... one of the better ones I've seen.

About the competing for gear, you should really be alright with MC, and you guys will be questing mostly, so your box drops will be limited (unless you are wanting to kill nameds for AA).

Check the broker a fair bit for cheap pieces of plate... Pitlord Bracers (Tier4) are a good example of a legendary drop that is cheap enough to be used in place of expensive Feysteel plate. T5 (Ebon) is very expensive at the moment, so she may prefer the Darkruned mastercrafted set made with blood iron ore. So, find a guild with a good armorer and you should be fine.

The other good thing is that she will feel fine soloing when you are nto on! That plate is a serious confdence builder! Good luck!
