Inquis and Master P'Tasa
Hi,
I know some of the bigger and badder raid groups on EQ2 have probably easily cleared Master P'Tasa in Shard of Hate, but for those Inquis still working on him, here's what I found to work.
The group I raid with is not a hardcore raiding group dropping some big time amount of DPS but we do all right with our mix of fabled and other type of gear.
Personally my gear is a mix of legendary sets and fabled gear. With the group I was in and the buffs going around my hitpoints were at about 9000 and my divine resist was around 10k, which is what the AoE for P'Tasa seems to be. My WIS was at around 770 or so using gear and those elixir of piety potions
Anyway, when he triggers his AoE, it seems to work that the closer you are to him, the greater the loss in hitpoints but you only lose a small amount of power. However, if you get further from him you lose more power but not as much health.
Since it's easier for me to get hitpoints back rather than power I just stayed as close to him as possible and then healed myself and the group I was with (only healer in DPS group) before the next big AoE.
Also, ensure you have no aggro/deaggro on during the fight as that seems to cause him to break away and head right to you. Unless of course you're tanking him, which is what I understand some raids have done.
This was our first time to clear him so there were some bumps along the way with the target often getting pulled away from the tanks for some reason and just running around the raid before we'd get him back to the right person.
But, I didn't die once during the fight where we actually cleared him so that felt pretty good.
One thing that might happen if you stay close is he'll put some sort of arcane curse on you that you can't break with cures or the quick cure option we have. I had to call out to the raid for someone to cure me.
