VP gloves are VERY inferior to Ethereal Mist. They real question is when you can replace them with Unholy Rift gauntlets, and mainly because of the set bonus, which are quite nice (oh well, and superior stats, of course... but they key for ethereal mist gauntlets is the proc...).
And yeah, I have been to hate like 30 times and not a single drop of the damn gauntlets.

They are a myth imo. We do 2-3 partial runs through soh for those, reh, mage helm and charm, etc with alts and shit. Still needing reh and emg heh

They do exist but if you want them it takes painfully bad dps.
I got my REH duo with a zerker, the next lockout went back and got EMG.
Next lockout I got 200p selling another REH and zerk got a signet of betryal. Take less people fight crap for 20 min or more and bam good loot!

How stupid that sounds that could be true, when SoH just came out I went in there with a pickup, i got 11 more ppl, so 2 groups to do some hurt, I think we killed 3 nameds, we got gloves (not me) and the shield (which i won yay!) after that we cleared soh so many times and the shield only dropped once more, the gloves 1 time as well, only the helm dropped like 6/7 times. even an alt got 1.

So I put this theory to test last night. Took 4 actually though. Me (INQ), Pally, Brigand, and a Temp (his main ~ a Dirge was locked). Pulled the first name and low and behold, the REH dropped! I already had mine and so did the alt Temp so the Pally took it. The Shield mob didn't drop the healer shield, but based on the REH drop, I'm motivated to go back and try again when it's back open!

He was the only on at the moment that could utilize the hat (late night), and keep in mind, it's a pvp server. This is easily the best geared pally on the server with every ward proccing item available already. He can literally fight 6 people with no problem and usually more depending on their gear, classes, skill, etc...Getting the REH only makes him more of a monster tbh so I was glad for him. But yea, had another healer been on that could use it, he would've given them up.
