I saw Star of Malice drop last night and go to a defiler.....

ANyone figure if I'm not in the MT/OT group to roll my DKP on it? I have no idea what the proc actually DOES...

Proc summons 3 manifestations to heal your group, it's pretty nice, I find it great with chokers in group, the Star pretty much heals them while I DPS some.

Those spawn pets can heal nicely, up to about 5% of your normal heal parse. You just need to melee at all times to spawn them. And they AOE heal afaik.

The Star of Malice pets also AoE immune random people (Water Bubble buff).

I have never seen the helm or gauntlets from SoH (raided it since it came out) and if they dropped I'm not at the top of the list to get them

We are also still waiting for our first drop of the helm ans gauntlets. At least I'm currently the Cleric with the most DKP and I mean to stay on top until the gauntlets drop. ;)
