Chokers, let em choke?
Kind of sick and tired of choker users, can't dps myself or at least loosing alot of dps cos i gotta cast a slow group heal cos im in my dps gear :\
I've got a full set of dps gear and because dps are using 1 neck piece i should get rid of my full set and wear heal gear? I know its increasing raid wide dps, but come'on, ive worked months or longer to get the dps gear I have now.
Imo lets call a world wide strike on choker users! let them all choke!

Re: Chokers, let em choke?
well.. i agree on the lack of 'reward' for the achievement to gather a solid set of dps pieces because at present state our dps seems to be in the category of 'meh' (im currently parsing in line with troubs while in more dps oriented gear - still wearing myth + darklight brace n soh gloves yadda yadda)
but in the end... dont we raid for the fun of it and the success when the mob's dead?
personally i got kinda tired of the quite boring job healing a dps group so i really enjoy those raids where were short of templars and im in mt or ot group and try to make the best of those other raids

Re: Chokers, let em choke?
I don't mind if I have a group of 3+ chokers. but only one or two is what bothers me a bit. Esp. if it are casters and I have to leave melee range to heal them. But I'm also still collecting my heal gear. (Still missing gloves, ring, neck and star) So I don't lose out as much DPS by mostly wearing heal gear.

oh i forgot that... i fuggin hate casters with their increased range rings! because like you know... "its nice and safe at the other side of the room"
but then again... i guess i shouldnt stay in melee range all the time at silverwing and ashenclaw *shrug*

Re: Chokers, let em choke?
If your mages aren't in range of you, that's their fucking problem. But if you're crying about healing, maybe you should have rolled a scout or a mage.

word on the first part, but not second, ive rolled an inqui since eq2 started, when eof came I got battlecleric aa and stuff like that, suddenly I was able to do some decent dps.
Fuck the person who invented the item, maybe good if you got like wardens in your group cos they can heal and nothing else, but im no goddamn healer, IM AN INQUISITOR!

Then you should reroll already, because Inquisitors are healers.

Oh please
L2P
healers are there to heal first and foremost, and like it or not you're a healer... this is the kind of talk that makes people think inquisitors are useless

Re: Chokers, let em choke?
Suck it up. Hell, get a choker for yourself. =) You don't need a full set of heal gear, just some Overloaded Heal items. Mix your direct group heal into your rotation, and with 3-4 OLH items and Dogma, it should be enough to keep your group healed up - assuming they all stay in heal range of you.
It shouldn't be hard to find enough OLH items - Cuffs of the Polliwog Protector, Yha-lei Bone Hoops, Cloak of Traitor's Grace, Battlepriest's Plate Greaves, and Sokohide Cuirass are all relatively easy to obtain.
