Default My hands are cold...

Okay not really. I just finished the Darkmail Gauntlets HQ last night, and I have been comparing them to my Greater shard gauntlets. For purposes of my hard-healing set, I am leaning heavily toward the greater shard set.

I was wondering if anyone else out there has crunched the numbers on these two to see if the base heal proc on the Darkmail makes them more useful than they appear.

For my usual role (healing a dps group), the Darkmail gaunts are useless. It just doesn't proc often enough unless you are spamming heals. Unless you are in OT group on a fight that the OT needs significant healing, or you get stuck in the MT group for some reason... you are definitely better off with Greater Shard gloves.

My advice: If you don't raid (and even if you do), you know there are some fights where you have to spam heals like mad, keep em in your bags and throw them on when the situation warrants.

had some talk with our mt-templar about this very issue some days ago... in raid situations the HQ-gloves proc would be up like 50% of the time so he too did decide to wear the greater shard ones instead (no EMGs obviously :/)
