It has its uses, especially if you're taking on Avatars. Back in EoF is when I found its one of my top five favorite abilities from any class against avatars. Either allowed a swash/assassin or a Sorc(sometimes the defiler!) to sit right in on a fight through anything, or even allowed you another strip the rest of the raid of control effects round. When alternated with the Inquis CC break or the Templar Sanc its rather fantastic at making sure you're not getting overwhelmed by CC effects.

Another thing that effects the parse is how fast your other healers are and whether or not you're getting RoA/JC rotation going for Inquisition. If you are getting RoA/JC and the other healers are DPSing and not insta-topping their groups you will skyrocket on the HPS if you assign Inquisiton to yourself.

This made me laugh. I am a MT healer and heal parses don't inflate my ego, nor our defiler (Even though she's been kicking my butt lately).

We don't even post heal parses. The parses and information you get from act is extremely useful, though. I can see how much healing each spell does, which raid members each healer is healing, If a healer is struggling, etc. I've used it to move healers around for particular fights and to adjust how I use a few of my spells. Great tool.

Well, I was specifically referring to a heal parse as the numbers posted at the end of a fight, like the dps parse.

If, by heal parse, you mean digging through the logs to see who is doing their job, then that is obviously useful.

As far as using one's own parse to see which spells are healing the most, like dps'ers do for their casting order, I don't think there is as much use for the heal parse. Trying to increase your hps sounds to me like a way to build habits that will run you out of power.

I mean, as your raid group gears up, your hps should actually decrease for the same encounter, and I doubt that most people have the mindset to really account for that.

if you want HPS ill pull 2.5 /3k hps single healing a dps group on some avatar fights with maybe a death or two. its not always, only on certain fights but ill be on the top of the heal parse easily.

anyone with the right gear could probably do it if they knew wtf they were doing AND understood the fight and when to do what etc.. I wouldnt expect anyone who just came back to the game or in legendary gear to be able to do that.
