Templars are better for tanks because of stoneskin. On easy mobs, you might be just as good, but if the mob is putting 4k dps out on the tank, a templar will stoneskin 520 or 600 of that dps. The harder the mob, hits, the more the stoneskins are going to heal for.

There can easily be two inq's per raid. Three is also highly acceptable. Templars only have one or two positions per raid. You play slightly different roles, but inq's are not unwanted. To the contrary, they should be one of the most sought-after classes in the game.

well i wouldnt strictly limit the spots for both classes. i think we can agree that you would want 3-4 clerics in yer raid with at least one being a templar if available. other then that its pretty much open to your roster without any big disadvantages of having 3 templars and 0-1 inq (saying this from personal experiences where I tend to help out with my dirge if need be, which means no inq in the raid. you can still kill shit... only takes WAY more cure-pots for one group.). but i do agree that having 3 inqs with at least TSO-4set trivializes a large chunk of the instances encounters in TSO... at least those which are majorly a cure-fest

Inquisitors increase DPS more, Templars increase survivability more.
Inquisitors cure better/faster, Templars heal better.
Inquisitors can have better personal DPS due to not requiring their mythical to be equipped at all times for maximum effect, allowing a Two Hand to be used. (Yes, I have seen the few wtfpwnmobiledps Templars that are running around, its possible but not very likely you're one of them at all.)

Between the two, a raid will almost always pick multiple Templars rather than multiple Inquisitors, but they will almost to a one want at the least one Inquisitor for their MDPS/OT group and for a few of the gimmick spells Inquisitors have. Good clerics have always been a pain in the ass to find for a guild, almost as bad as bards/chanters. Templar has always been able to carry mediocre players, but the ability of the class's tools have gotten better at doing so lately; Inquisitor just recently has acquired raw tools able to carry mediocre players. Which makes either of them a bit easier to come by to fill a raid slot.

Our spare templars are betraying tomorrow damnit!
Being the only inquis currently still active in my guild I get shoved solo curing a lot of the raid encounters lately....which doesn't bother me I can handle it I just like being lazy sometimes.

I will attest to the fact that as healers we are not as powerful as Templars - that's for damn sure. Last week our MT templar was out for work and I got shoved in. Most of the night it was fine until we got to Penta - man I was not prepared for that mess. I felt like a failure omg! Granted we pulled through but holy crap.
Templars def. have WAY more tricks than we do. Kind makes me sad that we don't have the same healing power - but at the same time I love our versatility with DPS and such. I like to be able to do both. I don't think I could handle being a Templar.
