Default Big Picture Question: How do I become a better Inquisitor?

Hello fellow Inquisitors,

This is my first post here, but I've been gleaning information from the boards for a while now. The problem I've been running into lately is that I feel that my character is constantly being pulled in multiple directions.

I live on Venekor (PvP) and am part of a raiding alliance that has completed all of KoS and is progressing through EoF. In a raiding situation I usually find myself in the MT Group; but I only raid a fraction of the time that I play, and that other time I need to keep PvP in mind.

My current spec is KoS: Str/Sta/Agi 4-4-8.
EoF: 5 Convict, 5 Forced Obedience, 3 Debase, 5 Pious
5 Invocation/Writhing/Flames/Litany, Battle Cleric
5 Repentance, 3 Vengence

A major staple of my playing strategy has been relying heavily upon the EoF Legendary Casting Speed set bonus; Allowing me to maintain a DPS/PvP Spec and decent cast speeds without going down the Int line. What has happened is that now I've gotten a 2nd EoF Fabled Set piece, and obviously the stats blow the legendary pieces out of the water. At this point, I wont be able to wear both and maintain the bonus; so at what point do the stats outweigh the casting speed?

One option I've looked at is swapping my Strength line for Int; It would then be Sta/Agi 4-4-8, Int 4-4-4-5. Giving me about a 9% Casting speed bonus. Will that be sufficient for both aspects of my gameplay, Raiding and PvP? Also, how much of a DPS loss do you think will be accounted for by losing the raw Strength and the Bolt of Power proc? or stick with this spec and just deal with long cast times and being interrupted again.

And on a final tangential note, is there a fairly easily obtainable upgrade for the neck slot to replace the Bummer Gang Medallion? I want to drop a 10 DPS Mod adornment on to compensate for our upcoming 40 DPS loss; just not real excited about putting it on a treasured collection reward; but the stats/hitpoints/resists are decent, just wondering if there is something I should keep my eye out for.

Sorry if that's long and ranty, the paragraphs there are just for show,
Raith.

Sadly, the EoF legendary set is... well... stupidly overpowered. It's very hard to replace.

I have a templar 3 set bonus (and the BP!) and I'm still in EoF legendary for the 6 set bonus most of the time.

I'd hold off on respecc'ing till you've played on test a bit, though - I think you'll find the AA changes will affect you considerably.

For PvP I'd recommend a 4-4-8-6-2 (Str) and 4-4-8-7-2 (Sta) build. It's rock solid, and although you'll loose some DPS (from Agi line), you'll make up for it with being uninteruptible and all around much better survivability.

For pure raiding - the Agi line is starting to look very ... tempting. Find a good buckler, put some points into shield ally, and go Agi/Sta - and that'll probably be the best build you can have without compromising your pvp ability / damage. (4-4-8-8-2, 4-4-7-8). Can swap the Agi ultimate for Stamina to focus on pvp.

Since your eggs are all in the melee basket already, you'd be going down int for only the faster casting - which although good, isn't worth spending 20 pts to chase down.

If you are going to be raiding I would strongly recommend maxing out your heal crits.

As for that, after tomorrow I would suggest going down Agi/Sta, forsake the strength line because the heal crits and double attack will make you much stronger than the proc and harder to interrupt bit.

As for being in the MT group, I wouldn't trade that six piece bonus for even the three piece bonus to Suffering Penance, and probably not for the five piece bonus to Consecrated Aura.

The question will come though whether or not your stats and resists are holding you back more than the 33% spell haste is benefitting you.

If you can get the top notch jewelry, that is very heavy on wisdom, stamina, power, intelligence, and then hitpoints(in that order of priority in my opinion) then keep your six piece bonus. If you feel you need more stats, resists, and power/hitpoint pool go into the fabled set.
