Bounty of the Viruous

Ever since in T6 when I discovered intercede (fighter damage intercept that the last version is level 34 but still used at 70), I am careful when learning new classes or dusting off ones that have been sitting a long while (and spells have possibly changed), to sort spells by category and make sure I am making use of everything I have.

This one was always on my hotbars since my Inq is a fairly recent toon I leveled up.

That link is a little diff than what I see (I think it is an old screenshot), but servers just went down so I can't go get my own screen & upload it somewhere.

At 70, the heal is more like 600 or 700, the power is 200 I think that it gives you. It shares a timer with Fanatical Healing, is a little smaller heal and I forget if it uses a little more power.

The question is, is it worth using this ever or should I just take it off my hotbar alltogether?

i personally barely ever use bountu of verious because well fanatical heals more :P
the 200 power thing does squat to my power.
but it is still on my hot bar, for whenever im like today im going to use bounty cause i can..
but if anyone had better use for it please state so.

Doesn't seem like great odds to get 200 power back, but yeah, less heal & more power cost than devoted.

At the end of the life of your single-target heal, Bounty of the Viruous will start being "better" than your single-target heal. It just doesn't happen until it's 14 levels old and you don't have the master.

I tend to keep both on my hotbar, the bounty i keep at the far end and only use when power might be an issue.. its still a heal but its like a free baby heal if i swap back and forth depending on the fight.

Depends on how much spell haste you have, if rolling with TC and Int4 it proc's a good bit more than 10% of the time.

Bounty of the Virtuous (Splitpaw AP lvl20 scaling heal) is on the same reuse timer as our quick direct heal (Devoted Ministration). It is not on the same reuse timer as our big direct heal (Fanaticial healing). Just clearing that up.

Bounty of the Virtuous is a worthy option if you do not have the M1 of the current tier alternative (quick heal).

But at level 70, with a 10% proc rate, ten casts of the two types...
1) Bounty - 10*174=1740. 1740-200(10% proc) = 1540 power for 10 casts.
2) Devoted - 10*143=1430 = 1430 power for 10 casts.

So even with the proc factor of Bounty taken into account, Bounty of the Virtuous still costs more power, has a slower reuse timer, and heals for less than the M1 tiered alternative. (Bounty reuse is 4.8s. Tiered heal is 3.8s reuse).

But of course, as mentioned, there are circumstances where bounty will be a better option. But for me, it definitely is not.
