Sesketh's Guild Status Point (GSP) Loot Guide of Tasty Goodness Version 2.1 ( Still brought to you by the Letter 3 and the Number Green. Fnord. ) SOURCE Guild Status Point Loot items drop randomly from sentient beings throughout Norrath. (Sentient beings are those beings that are self-aware; In Everquest 2, that's basically anything that can talk.) In addition to sentient beings, magic-related GSP items (i.e., scrying stones and amulets) have been noted to drop off of elementals as well, even those that cannot speak. (e.g., warlock orbs, aqueous assistants, earthcrafted champions, et al.) Tier 2 items are dropped by enemies levels 10-19. (Near-city zones, Commonlands, Antonica, et al) Tier 3 items are dropped by enemies levels 20-29. (Nektulos Forest, Thundering Steppes, et al) Tier 4 items are dropped by enemies levels 30-39. (Zek, Enchanted Lands, et al) Tier 5 items are dropped by enemies levels 40-49. (Everfrost, Lavastorm, et al) Tier 6 items are dropped by enemies levels 50-59. (Desert of Flames, Tenebrous Tangle, et al) Tier 7 items are dropped by enemies levels 60-69. (Bonemire, et al) Tier 8 Items are dropped by enemies levels 70-79. (Halls of Fate, et al) TURNING IN As of Live Update 16, you may sell GSP loot to any writ-giver Tiers 1 through 4. You may also sell these items to one of the merchants within one of the Courts of Maj'Dul once you have been accepted into the appropriate circle. Right click on the writ-giver as if they are a merchant, and select "sell to merchant." You will see a light blue number of Status Points in addition to 2cp as the sale price of your items. When you sell the items, you receive the Status Points, and your guild (if you are guilded) will receive the appropraite number of Guild Status Points towards your guild level. The number of points your guild receives is calculated thusly: Personal Status Points awarded ÷ 10* = Guild Status Points awarded * NOTE: Once again, the guild status calculation has changed yet again. I have updated the formula - as simple as it now is - to reflect this. Turning in GSP loot does not affect political faction standing. IN CLOSING For most people, this is now "old hat." However, I am constantly amazed by 1.) the number of times this guide has been reproduced across the internet and 2.) the number of people who still feel that there is a need for such a guide. Therefore, I am pleased, privileged, and obliged to provide this guide for the community in its newest incarnation. Your humble Chiksar, Dame Sesketh Ekalibis sesketh@thefallenlegion.org www.TheFallenLegion.org www.EverfrostRaid.org ADDENDUM This guide was originally created immediately after Live Update 12, rewritten after Live Update 16, and is now created in an entirely new version in April 2006 out of a desire to help not only my organization, The Fallen Legion, have a more cohesive way to understand GSP loot and how it affects the running of the shop, but to provide a similar resource to all of the guilds of Norrath across every server. As a consequence, input, corrections, editions, additions, and constructive criticism is welcome from any player or poster, from any guild or lack thereof, from any server, and either in-game or in-forum. I appreciate the massive, enthusiastic response to this document, and look forward to continuing to serve the Everquest 2 community in the future. Thank you! Additional note: On 20 December 2006, I again updated this guide to reflect a few minor recent changes. REGARDING USE OF THIS MATERIAL While I realize that pretty much everything posted on an SOE forum technically belongs to SOE, regarding intellectual property rights, I have no problems whatsoever with people linking directly to this post, or with people republishing this guide as it appears here, with the caveats that 1.) proper credit it given to "Sesketh Ekalibis" and "The Fallen Legion," 2.) a link back to this post is provided clearly, and 3.) you ask me before you do so. PM's are great for this. I'm honored to have been approached by several EQ2 fansites to put this guide up, and like I've said before, what's good for the gaming community is good for gamers. The more information we have as players, the better the community is as a whole. Just give me the courtesy of asking before doing and giving me my fair shake - more for my guild than anything else! - and I'm sure to say yes. Links to http://www.thefallenlegion.org would be hardcore! Thank you in advance! Message Edited by ElnAckom on 12-20-2006 03:35 PM Original by ElnAckom from Gameplay Discussion forum. |
