Upgraded weapons, how much does it add to dps?
Hello all,
I'm a 70/50 assassin on Nektulos. I currently have absolution and adamntine dragonfang as my weapons. How much of an increase is it to different weapons? For example, let's say I got GDOH & Wurmslayer. How much better would that be?
Thnx,
Timmeh

They should add 3-10% of your DPS depending on your DPS/Haste mod.

Don't think this will help yea any but if you type /weap you can see your primary, secondary and ranged base dmg, actual dmg and delay.

Hi, thanks for the reply. What kind of math is involved with the 3-10% figure? I am guessing this is from crit enhancements only. For example, the large damage range and delay enhancements of GDOH over a standard fabled?
I have recently upgraded my computer enough to be able to keep ACT logs. Hopefully when GDOH drops I will be able to provide some nice data for all.

Re: Upgraded weapons, how much does it add to dps?
Since the weapons are slower, you'll be able to time your CAs and Auto-Attack better, and not miss any swings. Not to mention, you'll just do more auto-attack damage from those weapons over your current 2 due to the crits as well. But mainly, it's because it's a lot easier to time auto-attack/CA spread with 1.9+ weapons than 1.6 and slower weapons.

I thought with AA, if you are mid-cast on a CA/spell, the next attack will land after the CA/spell hits, then the next timer starts there. How would a shorter delay weapon make it harder to time?

Let's say you have a 1.1s delay weapon and 0 haste, CAs are 0.5s cast, 0.5s recovery.
Combat Starts:
0s auto-attack swing
0.1s CA
1.1s auto-attack swing again
1.1s CA
2.1s CA
2.6s auto-attack swing
You've just missed an auto-attack swing, and you've lost damage potential.
