They have the solution in the game already, Hail Shady Swashbuckler!, so why not use him? Make EVERY quest you've ever done have their rewards become a buy back from him and implement something where you can only have 1 item from a quest on you at a time like a QUEST-LORE tag. Quest rewards are supposed to all be equally balanced with each other and the game mechanics are always changing, so there's no reason why swapping quest rewards at any given instant should be restricted at all, let alone prohibited which obviously it currently is.

Agreed. From what I've gotten out of SOE, they want it to be where if you have a level 70 toon, he can be fully changed regardless of previous decisions (Ex. Respecc'ing AA's, Respecc'ing Char Traits) because of the T5 atrocity that forced a lot of lvl 20+ priests to reroll because they picked an incorrect M2 choice. And I agree that it should be this way.
This is just another example of a stupid rule that SOE enforeces that has no reasoning behind on their long list of topics where they are inconsistant.
I mean fuck, if they're worried about manpower to replace each item manually via web request, it'd take less time to replace it and get a satisfied customer than it would to argue about how you cannot replace it using 5-10 different personal and piss people off while doing it.
