The item might be slightly buggy right now. But its a great item. Hopefully more items like this will surface in RoK.
The concept of risk vs reward is great. Items that greatly increase your damage output at a risk of one's health. Yes please! This item I'm sure was designed for the new gear swapping mechanics in RoK. It would be too powerful an item to simply equip and unequip right before a big damage spell. If you want the extra 10% damage be ready to die for it.
Now calling that stupid or a joke is just stupid. If you aren't going to take that risk shut up and don't use it, but don't come on here spouting stupid shit cause to you the item is worthless. There will be plenty of other people who will use it and use it successfully.
So thank you Fyreflyte. Keep the Risk vs Reward items coming.

Again point me to where I said, fyrelfyte Dumb down this item kuz I love unoriginal items.
I'm all FOR creative items, I am not all for what appears to be silly looked over bugs that make it to live.
Nice logic tho.

Pretty straight forward statements to me, sadly they are strongly contradictory!

Re: Bloodthirsty Choker = joke loot?
I spent a bit of time testing this out yesterday. Its dealing more then 5% per CA/spell.
It hits Vsai who has 7924hp in game solo for 425. At 5% that means my hp should be exactly 8500...
You can die to the effect.
If you die to the effect in a duel you receive no revive box and it counts as a real death.
The effect Bloodpower will go off each time you equip the item, which hit me for just over 1000 each time. (monk crit line?)
The magic damage is not mitagatible, it can be warded though.
When you die the maintained effect of Vampiric Requiem(wich cant be clicked off) gets dispelled until you unequip and re-equip the choker.(thus taking the bloodpower 1000 point nuke again)
Some clicky items will make Vampiric Requiem porc. Brock's Thermal Shocker for sure.
AE's are being treated as a new spell or CA for each target hit. (losing 35% hp is awesome for 1 spell/ca..hit 8 targets and 47% damage to yourself...hope that encounter doesnt have an AE of his own!)
With all the recent talk about gear swapping in combat going the way of the dodo bird, maybe situational gear will do the same? items like estipes haubergeon of undeath, or cold forged breastplate will lose there value, but those arnt dangerous situational gear.
Not being able to unequip dangerous situational gear....hmm...will leave that train of thought to complete its own journey..

SOE has a nasty habit of putting items/spells in the game that conflict with game mechanics a lot, so either your items are poorly implemented or your game mechanics just don't work well with anything. Fix one of those problems and people won't complain as much.
I meant what I said there, it's one or the other, thier game mechanics don't work well with any change/item the make ( how many sub patches and hot fixes must be made after a LU goes live? ) <---Again I don't expect every LU to be bug free, but as I said earlier usually it's the common sense bugs that make it live and makes us players go wtf!? O.o
Nobody thought of trying to kill themselves is understandable, but why didn't you just think of someone dying with the necklace on? That is not unreasonable to think of at all, but yet no one thought of it, I assume, or else this bug wouldn't of gotten through to live.
Meant what I said there, and I didn't read her (or his) response to it, and apologized Sue me I'm human.
We don't ask for every bug/item to get fixed or be 100% perfect on live, but jesus you guys seem to have a knack for only letting silly common sense, easily fixable bugs onto live. Fix those and we'll be happy.
Read above.
I'd rather have 100 old rehashed perfectly working items then 1 item that is broken or overpowered or bugged because someone didn't do their job.
Again this is what I would PREFER if the said creative items were BUGGED or BROKEN. It is a preference, I prefer items to work over being creative, and if it is both creative and working then that's just awesome, but an old rehashed item ( that at least works ) vs a creative broken item, hmmm which one would you choose?
And also SOE is just further proving my point on their own, SOE is NOW saying ( after FOUR exspansion backs ) that a T3 item is overpowered and for all intensive purposes being abused by people everyday. This said item is the chain BP From varsoons, so after FOUR Expansion packs their changing yet again what we can do w/ that item. While it is an understandable change and I can agree with them partially that the item is overpowered, this still doesn't warrant a change now (IMHO), when the item has been out since the begining of eq2, but meh I guess it's better to realize ur mistakes late then never.
But where exactly did I say or imply "fyrelfyte Dumb down this item kuz I love unoriginal items." I don't know, and I've read it twice. <_> Maybe your reading into to it too much? Or maybe you lied and just didn't read all of it.
So, get your facts straight, and own up to your mistake. Sadly I have to quote my own words for you.
In case you don't wanna read that though! The one sentence alternative! ( ironically it's yours! )
" I LOVE THESE TYPES OF ITEMS!! JUST PLEASE TEST THEM BETTER!!!"
^ Which is pretty much what I wanted to say, and clarified more in my other post.

You should stop talking if your not gonna prove anything :P
It does nothing to say "Oro you talk in circles" unless you back up that claim, which ( looks around ) I see you haven't.
