I've actually seen the same thing leveling up to 80.
I"m a brig with a defiler on my second account for heals, and did pretty much all the quests up to 80.

And yes, several times, the Item reward windows for the same quest didn't show the same items for both characters. At one point a scout reward didn't even appear for my brig while it showed for my Defiler.

Yup, and the problem now is that after doing 200 or so quests I couldn't even go back through them and say "Oh, I was missing a reward for X quest that I got from Y zone from hailing Z"

Maybe they're re-itemizing/re-tuning Shard of Hate? Which they better be.

They better reitemize what 100% of their playerbase is using right now first.

I agree. This issue isn't seeing much light yet because VP set gear hasn't been looted yet and this expansion is still new.

But at its current state, when comparing set gear to the legendary/fabled loot that has been disco'd already and assuming contested/T4 raid loot is going to be better than what we've seen already, VP high-end set gear needs a complete overhaul for it to be useful or practical for any high end raider.

Otherwise, why have set effects on gear if people are only going to be using 1-2 pieces at most because it's so terrible?

This issue was discovered about a week ago, and we're fixing quests like this as fast as we can find them. I don't know how or why they went in that way, but it certainly was not intended to remove options from you. I'm not sure how widespread this is, so I can't really give an estimate on when it will all be fixed. Very soon, I hope!

Well, a lot of good that will do for those of us that have already done the quests. I have tried to petition and get items replaced like all the legendary quests that offer cloth/chain/leather and ZERO plate option.

So, by the time its fixed, we have done the quests with no option to go back and do them for the appropriate reward.

I can understand maybe casters/scouts needing a boost, but holy crap, over 150 quests and not a single Fing plate reward from any of them, retarded beyond reason.

/agree ...

I'm sure SoE will whip out the great "We're sorry, here's something for your inconvenience magic wand" and summon awesome gear for all of us...

Yeah, riiiight.

Not trying to necro a dieing thread here, but rather would like to add that after seeing more of t8 itemzation, there is still a lack of physical (crush, slash, pierce) *mitigation* jewelry. I know plate tanks don't care about mit anymore, but brawlers still do, so it would be great to see some upgrades to the dragonscale pieces, fitzpitzle's earcog, the dark/light chitin rings, etc.
