Default What is missing from RoK itemization?

Thought I would start this thread just to see what people thought about the current RoK items they have seen.

Overall, I think the itemization is pretty good, but I do find it heavily DPS oriented. Most of the items I have seen, legendary and up at least, seem to be sporting + critical, + double attack, etc.

I am wondering when we are going to get some more defensive oriented armor. I realize that EQ2 is based a lot around dodging AEs, and resists are pretty meaningless (at least in the current incarnation of the system), but EQ1 managed to keep a good balance of offensive and defensive effects.

When I say defensive I am thinking of Spell Shielding, DoT Shielding, Shielding, Fear/Stun/Stifle resist - things like that. With resists as worthless as they are and probably continue to be, I think these would be a good addition for someone looking to build a survivability set, or perhaps even take the focus off DPS a little bit from tank builds.

We saw some of this in Shard of Fear, with the fear resist stuff, but honestly fear resist is probably the weakest effect of the ones I mentioned.

Anyway, how do you feel about RoK itemization, and what would you like to see in the future? I would imagine next expansion will leave the cap at 80, so itemization progression will be a leading theme if they want to keep the game viable. Add your suggestions!

Necros and Illus will suffer from the lack of procs. Allow us to swap gear in combat again, it totally screws over some classes. Raiding with an SK will be a PITA if we can't swap shit.

Procs are too easy to unbalance.

the are also fairly easy to balance, If its too big, lower the % or Damage or power it procs. Some classes entire DPS are currently decided by what proc items they have, take those away in ROK and you take away there damage

and to continue your thought - Procs are too easy to unbalance, so let's not put them on the items and use BoE/FT/crits all over the place. Easy way > hard way.

You see, we all just have different styles of playing...Illuminator doesn't like to dominate, while most of us do. Bring procs back.
