Well, if it took them almost 6 months to finish Swords of Destiny, which was a fairly short series of quests when compared to Peacock and Claymore, imagine just how long it'll take them to have the twenty four epic quests done~.

When we had our big flood in 1991 here, I sandbagged overnight and the next day the boss told me to go home and get some sleep. I asked him if I could have one of our trucks to haul stuff instead, he had me fuel it up at the company pumps and handed me the keys.

There is so little sense of community in the world these days. If a company does something half nice without making it a PR thing or a big tax right off, give them some kudos.

You sir, are a greedy, selfish individual. *hands him a pacifier* Grow up!
Can you read? They are blaming one or two weeks disruption for massive questlines spanning from solo through to raid content not being complete. My point was, it's pathetic they use that disruption which lasted a relatively short span of time, JUST BEFORE release (when this stuff should have been on test, not being finished) for not having all those things in place.

You sir are self righteous fool with apparent language and comprehension difficulties. You have my deepest and most sincere sympathies.

just to elaborate:

What he basically said was "we lost a week of time, so it will take us two months to catch up". Which is clear bullshit. The stuff wasn't finished and he is using an unfortunate event and his own people as an excuse for poor management.

considering most art and major changes need to be pushed to the internal test client 2 weeks prior to a patch and considering only MAJOR patches get done once a month. 1 week can very well = 1 month. But from what i was told they were already slightly behind before the fires hit, which coincedently didnt help. and 1 month really shouldnt have been an issue since these should be level 80 quests BUT i don't see epics hitting live servers until well into the first quarter of 2008. Which is really freakin bad time management. Look at all the shit they have planned/pushed back.

New character models
New map system
Epic weapons
Guild Houses
Shard of hate raid zone

Most of those are major projects that will delay new content.
I was hoping for new heritage quests in patches after rok
or New heroic instances like kurn's tower. the grind from 70-80 gives the devs 1 more update to add in content thats been delayed but to me they seem they got ALOT of stuff on thier plate.

If it's anything like SoD the legendary weapons are going to be pretty bleh and unimpressive. Probably be able to get better weapons with out much trouble. And for the Fable raid upgrade version it will probably take even the top end guilds tell January to farm through the lower raid zones and gear up for the high end ones. I don't see the delay as that big a deal since no one will be ready to get the Fable versions anytime soon.

Well, I guess they coulda just been honest and said "we're not done" ... and then delayed the expansion until Christmas. I'm kinda glad they released it as is.
