Rumors are out that people who had the forest giant trinket item equipped when it was changed to be mage only, got to keep it equipped, and still get to use the stoneskin proc.

Is there any truth to this? Are there people still using the forest giant trinket because they had it equipped the entire time and never unequipped it? If there is, how do we correct this?

Yes it is true that if you had it equipted, you can still use it.

The item was nurf'd from 10% to 3%. My husband removed his yesterday (after the change finally went live on test server), however when he logged in the item was still equipted.

So while they are still using it, they aren't getting the 10% bonus.

Wow, just wow.

It doesn't matter if it's still not 10%. The fact that people can still wear this item and take advantage of the stoneskin proc is just wrong.

If the developers can't find a fix for this, I'm petitioning every time I see a class use stoneskin when they shouldn't be able to.

I've seen someone who has had it equipped for over a week now. I check their Eq2players profile everyday. I'm not going to petition them though, as It is none of my busniess really, outside of curiosity. However the day they call me for exploiting, will be the day I call them on their hypocracy.

You know it is possible that the people equipped the item before the nerf and simply haven't realised it was nerfed. It would be a shame if they got done for exploiting if this were the case. I debated not taking mine off but then I said fuck it, why take a chance of getting banned
