Re: Class Specific Epic Quests.
You know one thing I miss from EQLive, is the fact that everyone had to be flagged to enter the good raid zones (or at least most of them). I think this promotes teamwork and makes people do quest lines, which gives them a goal to achieve, or something to keep them busy. Another thing I think that they should bring back are raid zones/mobs that allow more than 24 people. This will make getting yourself fully geared take longer, which increases the replay value a tiny bit...
Anyways, don't mind me I had too much SoCo...

Re: Class Specific Epic Quests.
i agree with this 100%. flagging promotes guild devotion and less people guild hopping. progressional flaggin, imo was the only way to go.

Re: Class Specific Epic Quests.
I really want epics, but it should be something that doesn't become insignificant quickly.
thus, it is kinda nice they aren't already in the game, because they'd prlly already be junk, hard to say. They still haven't done them yet so it's an option they have in the future to keep ppl entertained ect.
inc >>> very radical viewpoint >>>
i would like to see more progressive content in the game. in regards to epics, maybe long epic quests for each class, ect. certain mobs that can only be damaged if player has their epic equiped (imbues your wpns or spells maybe), maybe even as far as, zones that require whole raid fully in epics just to enter ::shrugs::
and they wouldn't be trivial just because you have your epic, it would still be a difficult fight with these items, but impossible without them (can't dmg them).
even more off topic now, but just in general, the game needs more progressive content ---with reasonable bottlenecks--- such as ~huge learning curves, ~puzzles, ~rare key drops to certain zones, ~rare orbs that drop off certain contesteds that combine to open portal to zone, ~clearing certain instances opens up new instances, ~defeating mobs gives access to instance (DT), ~very hard quests because they are incredibly ambiguous and vague that give access to new content, ect.
No expansion is healthy if everything is beat within the first 2 weeks it is released. Only referring to possible content I should add, disregard impossible content, i'm all for impossible content, but the content that is possible shouldn't be beaten within 2 weeks, or a month, idk, the longer the better.
'reasonable' bottlenecks, i think are a good thing. epics could play a role.
---edit----
(had only read the first few posts on this thread, after re-reading it, i see progessive content was already brought up: not as off topic as i thought)

Re: Class Specific Epic Quests.
What I want more than anything is a quest that requires you to kill contested, epic, mobs. Not just the weak ass monolith mob or something like that, but the hard mother fuckers.
Just some quest series that starts out killing some solo crap, moves to heroic junk and finishes with something like slay any 4 of the avatars. Then you get some badass ring or just something.
The sole reason I want to see this implemented is because of all those whiney bitches who think that they somehow deserve everything at all times and I love watching them bitch when one fucking quest in the ENTIRE FUCKING GAME woudl require a contested mob and how that makes everything catered to high end raiders. I strongly dislike those fucks and anytime they feel I am personally ruining the game for them, it makes me feel a bit more successful in game.

But then there would be certain people, who only play 11 minutes a day, or who don't belong to a raid guild, who couldn't complete a quest!!! And we cannot have that can we.

Re: Class Specific Epic Quests.
its way too easy to get to places like DeathToll
make all access epics contested.
and make all epic zones have access quests with contested epics as requirement. and make them tough not sissy like vyemm, make them atleast MO hard.
things today is far too easy, raiding should be challenging, not a walk in a park.
sorry out of topic.
but should be class specific rewards for epic like quests.

Well, remember when Harla Dar was contested, and people whined endlessly until they changed it?

its not much harder than instanced, its just more work require to get raid up faster, those who whine about constested getting killed too cast, gather raid too slow. you can form a full raid in 20 minutes or less.
im kinda tired of going on lazytrain to uberness.
