Class Specific Epic Quests.
you would think this would be implimented into the game already but it has not, and i think that this is very unfortunate. sure there is relic gear (bleh i wish they never added relic into the game) the point i'm making about relic is class specific addintion spell effects on gear. but i honestly think they should make, an epic quest for a specific slot item (weapon again or a choice of a few different ones) that cator's specifically to the class to have free clicky spells or addinional increases to certain abilities, to truely help the class out, besides the lame-ass pris1+2 where it's regen + proc or the claymore series (which for priests is actually decent)in any sense, since im already rambleing about all this, does anyone in EoF have any idea about a pris4 quest series? if anything is on beta that seems to be along those lines or heard anything?i personally dont wanna go through all of a claymore-type quest series again that everyone else is doing, i'd rather have a quest series that cators to my class, in turn actually making it harder for people to have to do, finding friends to help with YOUR long quest series i think would be ultra fun, and make it long, and a few epic mobs =|

Re: Class Specific Epic Quests.
They dont want to do epic quests as we know them from eq1 because no matter how you look at it only 1/24 classes can make use of the massive questline.
You would think we could at least get more unique/class specific reward choices from quest lines such as the claymore one though. Would be nice to have the quest series be different for mages/priests/fighters/scouts as well. Anything to spice things up and quit making us all the same.

Re: Class Specific Epic Quests.
ya thats defiantly a good idea also, even if not class specific, subclass specific: ie: brawler \ bard \ shaman etc etc. a % increase to shamans wards or something, or a % increase to certain songs.but the purpose of class specific to me is actually making it take a lot longer to do, rather then everyone working on the same quest to rip through. i'd personally like to see a quest take a long ass time to do and the reward be hella worth it. i dont mind spending the time to work on something like that if the outcome is truely amazing.on the same line, to satisfy the casual non raiding players even and x2 or hardish 1 groupable, but again long quest series with a really decent outcome item would be nice to see to satisfy all the people who arn't hardcore.

Re: Class Specific Epic Quests.
Me and ish had have this conversation may times in /guild.... Bottom line... If they even considered epic quests if they tier progressioned the item through multiple zones, and divide it to sub class this would only add to the raid content...
Raid content that keeps you satisfied for 2 days, maybe 3 with contested crap .... Not fun...

Tell that to SoE.

Re: Class Specific Epic Quests.
Everyone tries to tell SoE, but if you have access to the beta forums, check out the post where the Dev says no thanks it has been tested enough. This was in response to a post saying a mob was broken and not ready for release... No wonder their games are always buggy, and of poor quality.
I 100% agree with class specific quest lines, I am tired of being a cookie made from a cheap mold. While the EoF class specific AA's are a step in the right direction, they are also poorly done. I think it is time SoE gets some fresh blood, because they are getting very stale.

Re: Class Specific Epic Quests.
Gallenite said at one of the summits I went to that they do not do class specific epics because it leads to player entitlement and multiple upgrades of the epic because of "all the work it took to get it" and players not wanting to ever give it up, but rather have it upgraded over and over.
Much like the cries for upgrading the prismatics when DoF first started.
That and the fact that everyone who wants their epic gets it, and then everyone is still the same anyway. It'd hardly be different than claymore.

Re: Class Specific Epic Quests.
While I can see his understanding of it... I will , and I dont think that you do either gauge, defend the amount of content that is currently available. If there was, lets say not 24, but 12 epic quests that would sub divide into raid content this would only improve what currently exists for content.
This should be a staple to progression, not to mention would be nice to see progression to continue... The only diffrence is that 24 people get a Prismatic 1.0 / 2.0 / Claymore at the same time. And while intentions are good with this ( The leave no-one behind ), at the same time it does suck.
Cookie cutter is the best way that I can describe differentation bewtween players of hardcore guilds and softcore.... Who hasnt seen all the content now? Most casual guilds even at this point have beat tarinax... So why not put in more content and put the justification of if you want something you can work for it and have the option...
Again, not enough content... But we would rather work on a new character class and newbie zones that people will outgrow in 3 days of the expansion....

Re: Class Specific Epic Quests.
i understand what you guys are saying, i just think im too hopefull for my own personal beliefs on how a mmo should be made =\. if they did decide to every make class specific or archtype specific, at least make the mobs spawnable and not on a timer, or at least instanced, as far as epic mobs went, just like beastlord epic quest in eq1, found the scout or whatever and then it spawned the mob. oh i think i liked that game a little too much, i cant wait for vanguard!!! hehehe
