In that case I would have to agree. They should have left the original belt alone, just as they did with the greaves. Not only that, how hard would it have been to offer a third reward option and provide the same service/trade as Thuuga?

I think the dev's would be surprised that anyone would want the original belt over the new one. They viewed this as an upgrade and not a nerf, I think that is why they didn't grandfather in the old belts.

I'll say this again-

All item nerfs need to be retroactive. Period. End of story. No exceptions.

Fyreflyte opened up a can of worms when he decided to not retroactively nerf some items (i.e. disperion proc items), and has attempted to justify his decision in the past.

If the item gets nerfed, it was nerfed for a reason. There's never a reason to let people keep old pre-nerfed versions of items...it's bad practice and hopefully it will never happen again.

I earned the old shit because of what it had, for SoE to then take it away from me after earning it is like taking a wooden dildoo and shovin it up my ass.

If you like the old belt, reet quest line gives you a slighty better belt with just about the same proc, the collectible belt was almost a copy / paste.

Never bothered getting the belt before it was changed but grabbed the first gilded chokodai collar off broker that I could find once it was changed, so I'm happy they did change it ;)
