Troubador one ranks a 3 in difficulty imo. I solo'd most of it

To be completely fair, though, how many of you who are bitching that the quests are too easy completed any portion of the quest without a guide? Although the swashbuckler epic was genuinely easier than some classes due to a lot of the quest being solo, actually doing the quest without a walkthrough to follow made it a lot more fun and far more rewarding.

It's pretty tough to not follow one, especially when you get stuck, but the difficulty is obviously going to be made trivial when you are essentially cheating.

I completed the entire Wizard one without a guide as I figured out the majority of the updates on my own. It was still insanely easy minus if you could get a group to help you.

The dirge one was HARD.... who knew finding halfings in RV to throw pies at was so HARD...

Kidding the dirge one could have been done in a few hours if you got lucky on auto-updates from the instances. Outside of that you could be blocked by a zone lockout timer.

Ya know. As a hardcore player with out raid time, or regular play time for that matter (cry) I'm finding the templar epic to be incrediably painful - Difficult not really, but quite time consuming.

The first part wasn't bad, It was even easier once we figured (templars.nek) figured out the spawn time of the damn flowers. No longer did i have to camp 1 freaking spot for the flower...

Yeah, i was there on day 1, stuggling through the morass, offering advice..

Part 2. You need avaik Language and a good Chunk of cash. For most normal people (and i'm probably the most broke player at level 80 in the game, at a whopping 50pp) So 4 pp is precious to me. I'm figuring for most normal players, your looking at 10 -12 hours of killing lvl 80 mobs (if your unlucky) to get 4 pp worth of loot, though if your luckier (see drake comment) you can knock it off in about 5 to 6 hours, Or harvest appropiate amount of rares..

Smoldering - Took me 20 mins and i got 2 rares (Read wind ingrediant paid for) But i've heard complaints from others that it took them 4+ hours of harvesting (340 harvesting needed for t8, and if you didn't have 340 harvesting, well enjoy that particular little gem of a grind)

And : First Group requirement, 6 Man, For Heroic 80ish mob. in chelsith. Good thing wizards and warlocks needed this, or you'd never get people to go into this crap instance. (Make it a regular dungeon with an instance inside of it, you might get a little more intrest, Or take out those stupid floating balls of misery that like to kill healers and avoid the rest of the damn party)

Part 3 was even worse, That drake update? Who ever said 1 in 4 was incredablly lucky, More like 1 in 8, or 1 in 12. I killed drakes for 5 straight hours to get my "35" hides (I.e about 300 of the little fuckers) on the bight side, I did make 2-3 plat from just loot drops (4 "rare" loot drops of teeth for 30gp each and 28 hides at 67 sp each) That little valley we send all the templars to to harvest, has exactly 6 nodes in it, 4 root and 2 mineral, ooo Enjoy that camp. I've had soo many comments on that one about bleeding into the keyboard... Oh yeah, there's a named that spawns there to, I saw him once. (in 5 hours!)

Healing people, The 2 solo guys was pretty easy, buuut.
2 Group requirment - KC. I got lucky and was able to follow a group in (Leeroy From Harms way) and his group let me tag along and off heal while trying to get the update. Good thing it's close in and not buried somewhere in the castle. I'd pity templars if they did this.

3rd Group requirement. Chardok. This was a pain. takes 2 hours to get to the fucking guy, and you are "REQUIRED" to have a bruiser or monk in the group so you don't get wiped out by the books with a bad pull. On the bright side, I did manage to get my blue shiny quest done in chardok...

4th Group requirement. Kill 20 salrithian whipcrackers and the slave master. Faction required Reet, Language Requirment Salrithian (I spent 6 hours camping the exact coords for page 12 of the book in the kunzar jungle. Think about that for a couple and you'll see my mistake)

When i petitioned page 12 not spawning in KJ (I had 12, i needed 8, My bad) the gm's were super helpful. (NOT) If they had at that point pointed out i should be looking elsewhere they would have made my day (amongst much swearing)

The language quest itself was super easy, And i got a stuffed Teddy!

On to Sebiliss.

It seems, Like every group out there in sebillis wants you to help them with thier epic updates instead of yours, I've been all over sebiliss helping people out, but whipcrackers? Hell no. It's taken me no less then 3 seperate groups to get 13 of them so far.
These things are lvl 84 to 86 ^^^ mobs that are twinned with reet. For some reason if you get a paired reet and whip guy the reet close by assist, and let me tell you the reet hit for 4-6k a shot. (I have almost 5k mit as a templar and man do they hit hard, Included is about 20% mitigation as well)

I figure at my rate, It will take 2 more trips down there to get the whipcrackers (And the slavemaster is EASIER then the damn regular mobs) before i have to pop out of the dungeon (Read: Recall to Qeynos and spend quality time getting back)

When i'll have to fight my way back to the labratory to find some secret room or kill koitz again. It took a raid force (12 players) to get to the labratory in the first place. the spawns are fast, and there are many close clustered mobs. Aye, you can hold the room once you get to it (Barely with 1 healer mind ye) Thank god for 107 incombat power regen.

All this to get 93 DR weapon that will let me add +110 to my healing (bringing my group total up to +300)

I rate this to be a 9 for pure misery. The Sod quest hasn't been this painful yet, (Except for that guy in Kaladim. Grey mob that does 9k damage...) and i've done that almost entirlely solo (Granted that water vessel part was painful)

So Templar Epic if your not part of a raid guild, or even a large guild and your dependant on pug's

9. On the scale of pure anguish.

I'm not done with the assassin epic, and I haven't done any others other than helping people. But I'd give mine about a 9 (not quite as difficult as having to run through CMM twice). And I think that, not counting bugs (like items not dropping), its gotta be the toughest one. Sure swashies and zerkers both have rough final fights, but is anyone else having to kill so many 85s (4 or 5) and an 86, and pay 20 plat for quest items (28 if you didn't do SoD)? Maybe I just suck, but the 85s keep 1-shotting me when i hail them.

So yeah, my quest feels epic. I expected to have to clear more instances, but those are really more of a time sink, aren't they?

You can safely pull the library rooms with the books by pet pulling the books first. Our tank also arrow pulled the last book w/o the other mobs adding.
