I was going through some other games and looking at thier effects to see what else could be added to this list and saw a neat effect that lessened the chance for spike damage.
Toughen X-absorbs up to an additional 10% of critical damage
Slowed Poisen X- up to 100% to duration of damage based dots cast on self (allows caster more time between dot ticks IE spreads out the damage more)
Shock X- 5% each rank up to 50% to break stuns and allows caster to cast (but still rooted) at a much slower rate instead of an outright resist (+300% casting slowed).
As always alot fo the abilites above may need tweaking and some plain would not work in eq2. But adding in new abilites to counter new raid effects will ultimately help increase the complexity and the challange of encounters and encounter design in eq2.
