Default Maniacal Infusion

I was wondering if anyone out there was currently using items with a Maniacal Infusion effect? I have been testin the crap out of these items and can come to no conclusions that would support that these items are working as intended. Im certainly not seeing the proc more than once every 5ish fights and when it does proc, I notice no change in DPS for my next spell.

Any input?

I was going to start a thread on this proc today. If everyone in the group independently gets the benefit of this effect, then it would seem that its value is vastly underrated. It's just so damn hard to measure.

I have the cloth gloves from JW that proc on beneficial. I use them in instance runs and tbh they are so good I'm considering using them in pvp, an extra 1200 spike damage on target is pretty ridiculous, plus for me it seems to proc nonstop.

The problem with maniacal infusion and beneficial infusion is that the bonus to damage contributes to the cap on spell damage. With the stupid high amounts of spell damage many casters are at the point where only one or two spells will benefit from the proc.

Sorcerers obviously have a lot more room than, say, enchanters. If the proc was just "Your next combat art will proc +200 damage" would allow it to apply at all levels then it would be useful to really load up on it.

Right now half the group typically won't see any benefit for it so they seek crit rate instead.

It would be extremely easy to test. Pull a mob and have one person proc the buff up and then see if one person casting removes the whole buff or not
