So 0 = 1?
Or we could just say that infinity isn't a number, and then neither would be 0.9~.

Exactly what I said, but instead of being able to answer you try to question back. Pathetic attempt at redirection at best.

Maybe that is why I used a worded proof of concept instead of a number based proof of concept. Because despite proof positive of the concept you still argue against the concept.

By the same token, name me the exact value of infinity.

Zero, anything that continues without end approaches back on itself from the opposite direction that it started in effect, negating any movement or effect.
Or... 42.

For extremely large values of zero, yes.

Re: Learn to do Math, SOE
Yeah , let x = .999... then 10 x = 9.999... Since the decimal part is the same infinite series for both x and 10x, it cancels by subtracting.
Uh oh, what's that, did I just prove that if x = .999..., that x=1? UH OH, somebody better stop me, thereby making 2.999... be 3, and thus 2.999... + 2.999... is 6. Because it's effectively 2 + 2 + x + x.
As for 1/infinity, it's effectively 0.
If 1/9 = .111...11 , and 10/9 = 1.111...10 . Thus 10/9 - 1/9 = 9/9 = 1 = 1.00...(-1). And 1/infinity is .000....01. Right? So, what's 1 - 1/infinity. Oh, it's 1!, thereby 1/infinity is 0.
You're a fucking joke if you don't think that 1/infinity is 0, and that .999... = 1. Seriously, this is simple math folks, SIMPLE. We're not trying to proven anything hard here.
And I see you want the exact value of Infinity. WHICH infinity, since it's obvious you don't know math, you probably think there's only 1 value for Infinity, when in reality, there isn't. There are MULTIPLE values.
PS Illuminator, go back to learning Limits, since it's obvious you have no idea what one is.

After your sad "plane of atoms" intervention, you shouldn't even attempt that claim.

Justifying his credentials after you first attacked them isn't "continuing the real life card".

Re: Learn to do Math, SOE
So you don't believe .999repeating = 1? Okay then. I'll give you a better example.
If 1/9 = .111... what's .111... * 9? It's .999..., right? Well .999... = 9/9, which is 1. Oh, SNAP. I just proved it again.

The full expansions aren't. To even be usable everyone cuts them off at a given point.

The full value being unusable for common applications does not mean the full value does not exist numerically.
You're just searching for something to argue about aren't you?
