My girly heart screams Pegasus.. one that would combine the advantages of a carpet with some awesome speed enhancement. I love the war polar bear idea, too. Whatever mount we're talking about - I vote they should be more customizable, e.g, color, size, armor/saddle, etc

Clockwork animal mounts would be awesome. Weren't there clockwork mounts in EQ1? I seem to remember gnomes riding clockwork boars.

How about some type of insect or spider? Ravasect looking thing or a giant beetle would be cool IMHO.
