Default Re: t1 helm drops still too infrequent?

Smartloot for T1 sets is clearly in effect, we've never had a piece drop that didn't obey the smartloot rules (i.e., there is always someone in raid without the item), and since we started running without a Crusader 2 months ago, their set has stopped dropping completely.

It applies only to the archetype sets from T1/2/3. It doesn't apply to any other fabled drops or patterns. Be aware some PR drops may appear to be set pieces (the Inq/Templar stuff springs to mind) but it's only the set with 3 and 6-piece effects that smartloot applies to.

If you're having trouble getting an item, you need to make sure people are looting and hanging onto their respective sets. If you transmute or sell/destroy the pieces they will continue to drop and your guild will gear more slowly.

So basicly if your set sucks and you dont want to spend dkp on it you are screwing the rest of your raid force? The rouge set is horrible and I would lose 25% of my dps if I were to put the thing on. Muted the bp alaready with 2 rogues in raid that didn't have it, one of us thought about it but decided it wasn't worth the time to earn the dkp for the thing.

Yeah you are screwing the raid in short. But it would seem your DKP system is more at fault if the minimum bid is so high people rather let the sets rot or transmute.

Meh, We blew through PR and Kor last night since we were light (mothers day) and we got tons of set pieces. ALL Fury/Warden heh... grats to our warden with his full set. 3 pieces last night alone just for our warden? Really SOE?

On the bright side I suppose we won't be seeing that again for our druids..But I have to wonder what class it will be next.

t7 900000000000 mayong kills and right before the expansion was the first time I ever saw my BP drop off mayong..Here we go again.

smart loot had been in place for about 6 months afaik...unless for some reason people started that with absolutely no peices and you had a guild of 48 i dont see how thats possible. or people in general exagerate how many times they have killed it or what they get.
