The vendor items you can buy in there, do they do anything? Anybody found out?

I am annoyed that, for everybody not uber, you explicitely need a mezzer to finish the zone. Lame one trick ponies, you used to need one for maidens early in the expansion, now one for RE2... if there is no other way to disable the epic's adds (encounter/AOE root seems a bit unreliable), it's lame design. Why not either a mezzer or a brawler or crusader? IF you wanna enforce the usage of less-played/special purpose classes.

Slippery

You don't need a mezzer for either. My gimp alt SK with exactly one piece of raid gear (helm from byzola that won't stop dropping) tanked the zone including the last encounter in a pick up group. Healing me was a templar and fury both also in group gear and had a dirge along for the ride. It is fully killable without an enchanter.

One of the adds hits with an 85k heat nuke, another has a backstab aoe that hits for a lot... how did you deal with these? Had only 2 pulls on the encounter before raid was on.

Cure the elemental debuff and don't let that mob stand behind you then kill them first?

Root all adds(dont have to root the one that wards), kill one add at a time, when adds are down kill the name.. took us a few pulls to get that strat but it worked.

True.We killed that at the 3rd pull with Guard,Temp,Fury,Troub,Warlock and brig i was only me with main char rests are alts and crap gear.You dont need a mezzer for that.

Hoss

Did you kill all the adds? We left bergo the dirty, and coincidentally, the piece with bergo's name on it dropped. But, i wasn't sure why we left him. I just know we killed the fleshscorcher first because he was nuking the shit out of us. In fact, once we killed him, the encounter was easy.
