ok, im not going to write much about the zone here because the things we did were all quite straight forward (and i dont want to spoil the funny things in there), but we had 1 situation where after killing all mobs i thought "ok, so i guess theoretically we should have pulled all those other mobs that just added beforehand". we had to skip 2 named tho'. one was killing the whole group with ST-dots on everyone, theoretically doing 20% hp+power-drain as focus damage every 4 seconds, but that thing ticked us dead in 1 second. i think we missed something about that mob, but thatll be evaluated somewhen, somewhere. and we had to skip the final named, epic-x2 for the evening, because of time and group-design issues (warden, boxed fury, assassin, dirge, guard)

so here goes, the loot: we got 2 chests off trash, the other stuff were named-drops, we got no wood-drops from named, all metal:




and by killing some of the nameds within we completed 3 quests gotten outside of RE2, whichs rewards were: (choice of 1 per screenshot)

Quite underwhelming from the perspective of somebody equipped in the best heroic instance loot, let alone a raider. No reason to go there unless the x2 drops some kickass item, comparable to the fabled pieces in Vaults and Maidens.

What's with all these set items that proc dmg on goblins only? Who in their right mind would care for them? The additional effect boni on the set items add up quite nicely tho.. F.e. 3/4 items of the Dirty Crusade set give +3% spell crit, +3% melee crit, +30 CA and spell dmg. It's still not worth it losing the items you're wearing in the same slots...

wow, how crap, that's really scary, and yes the Goblin Bane is gayest effect ever, didn't we learn like 4 years ago that specifics mobs effects were useless and stupid in design ?

That's really typical SoE, they are so scared to make anything in there better than raid loots that they just created a bunch of crappy stuff, that not even an alt will want.

Can't wait to see the fabled items with "Uber Goblin Bane" effect or something like that.

The items really are completely inline for the difficulty. They are also completely inline with what they should be, less than raid gear and more than treasured gear. They only look bad because the rest of the heroic gear is fucked.

Is the zone as big as the original RE zone?
Does it include the 2 other instances in there?

Loot looks quite nice for someone who isn't already fully fabled.
Not much there for me tho.
Looking forward to seeing some of the fabled loots.

Yes and so now they expect people to go there for subpar loot ? I am not going to argue if the rest of the heroic gear is "fucked", I think myself it was pretty well done considering the rarity of some of the best items, but that's not what's important here.

What is wrong is that you simply can NOT add new content of the same difficulty than previous content, with utterly crap loot compared to the previous ones. It just doesn't work like that.
New content should have better or at least similar quality loot for an equivalent or a bit higher difficulty.

As it is, and if there is nothing really better in that zone, there won't be any incentive to go there besides for "novelty" sake and eventually to farm 71/79 master I if they indeed drop there with a "correct" drop rate, as a dev stated.

Seriously how can you say that "Goblin Only Effect" is in line with the difficulty ? Even if it was soloable it would still not be in line with the difficulty. Specifics mobs effect are an itemization anomaly and should not even appear in the mind of the most deranged Game Designer.

I was halfway looking forward to some possibly overpowered leet shit dropped from easy named in there, like with SoH. Nope, I cant find a single item in those SS that i would want, as a berserker in heroic instance gear mostly.
