Had some drama when this ring dropped in Chelsith and I won it. Warlock (not in guild) claims its a waste for a Necro to have it and its basically a "Warlock Only" item. He was extremely upset that I won it.

The ring has a Proc that does Disease Damage AOE

Necros debuff Mobs of Disease Resist so I rolled on it

Anyone agree or disagree ? Im not an expert on this game but ring seemed to me to be good for Necros

Nothing on it says it's basically a warlock item, any mage can make nice use out of it :P The warlock needs to keep on trying if he wants it!

the warlock (if truly believes that) then they are a retard and needs to learn more about items in relation to other classes as stated already it is not a "basically a "Warlock Only" item".

Good for most casters.

Its a situational item however, and in those situations a skilled warlock tends to make the best use out of it. Don't feel bad about winning it tho. Hardly a warlock "only" item by far.

Thanks for info and I can see how a Warlock could make the best use of it. However, as you and others have said it can definitely benefit other classes. Necros have 3 Disease AOEs and a Disease debuff so hardly a "waste" for me to use the ring.

I tried to reason with Warlock and his buddies as they all tried say in chat that I was wrong to roll on it. At the end of the debate,the best answer they had was "because he (the Warlock) has wanted that ring a long time !!!"

I have that ring as a Necro and it's totally uber... on the Overking fight. :P
Like someone said, not very many multimob encounters in game atm so it doesn't get used to it's full potential much. Perhaps RE2 will fix that.
I liked it more when it was 100% chance to proc tho and almost 2.5k damage.
