Default LU 47 - Spell Drop Changes

In LU 47(maybe it's 48) I saw that they are changing to a smart spell drop system like they have for RE2.

Any thoughts on this? I hope they make the whole game like this. In my opinion it would make grouping allot more worth while if you KNEW that there was a chance to see a master for atleast one person, if any, in your group every time you went. It's and incentive to keep grouping, or maybe keep trying to solo group content lol.

No they aren't. They are making it so that if a mob is Level 74, it can drop Level 71-74 masters, and if it's Level 80+, it'll drop Level 71-80 Masters. Instead of the current level 76-80, and for Level 75 mobs they drop Level 71-75 Masters.

But they are for 1-20 Masters. Which means those masters that are rarer than 71-74 will be easy to get! Score!

Yea, and we all know how awesome smart loot on masters work in RE2.

My groups got about 15 masters, 0 templar, 0 I needed.

Yes smart loot is a bad idea because after your group would have all of its master spells, it would drop a random master like normal, like it does now anyway (which 90% of the time no one in your group can use!). You're right North that would be horrible. It would also be horrible to not see same BS pieces of set loot drop every instance, and oh wait what's that? The same piece of legendary set gear again! Smart loot is horrible for grouping.

Raiding is a completely different story, EoF was a step in the right direction, but it was bullshit when you got a new app in; and in one raid night they got 5 out of 7 of their pieces of set gear. But I wouldn't want to see VP patterns on a smart-loot since of the way they did the 6 different patterns.

Yea, like, getting masters totally randomly, from solo trash, group trash, group bosses, or raids, whenever the moon is semi-half-full and the hairy maidens of North Spain are dancing round fountains of magical joy & wonder is enhancing my gaming experience. FUr opinion. If I wanted to play dice, I'd do so.

It's gotta be either full smart loot or full random. Anything in between is just cokc teasing.
