personally I'd just like ALOT more of the gear to add through procs or straight up bonuses to BOTH melee and caster stats (ie:+2 to Melee and Spell crit rates, or +50 to CA and Spell damage)

personally I think much more "scout" gear needs these... so what if a majority of the time half of the bonus is wasted... it sure beats having a third of the scout classes getting only half of the bonuses from the items. I'm sure that even Shamans would seek alot of this gear for soloing

The same could be said for Plate gear, where not only Crusaders would benefit... but the effects wouldnt be bad for Warriors as well... and Clerics could use them too
