I always wanted the club, it was one of 3 fabled 2 handers i didn't get out of KoS, 4 if you count Claymore (I took the shield).

I know I'm retired, but look at the spear from the AGI Crusader (Cavalier?) point of view. It's an in the face mucho aoe melee damage item. Barrage with that, plus the bonus spear skills and high avoidance (barrage mobs or possible snagging of the aggro)... now, if only you could raid while mounted. Doubles to all the spear bonuses.

The 2Hers from Avatars(all 4!!!!!!!!!! of them) destroy the Club. If you're a Priest, you get 2 choices of either the Staff from Growth, or the Bo Staff from Fear. Both of which are far superior to the Club.

Ya, 88% melee crits plus Tribal Rage. I put the extra point into heal crits rather than going for 100% melee crits.

I'm wondering if its parsing better sheerly because of your crit spec. The mechanics make the best use of its damage range. I would think even the Blackscale maul could outparse some fabled 2-handers with that spec.

Without melee crits the spears range may produce better dps, as its abit safer. I wouldnt nerf the club myself. I'm more in favor of them adding more delay to that spear.

Ya, maybe things should be a little different, but as everyone knows, the thing that makes the club better is if you are specced for crits. Maybe if you had no crits, but specced for DPS mods or Haste, then things should be different. And even though the club does come from an easier mob, it is still very hard to get since he very rarely drops it. Although there are too many 2H in the game, I think it's good to have a variety, not neccessarily a few perfect ones, that are good for every possible spec (crits, dps, haste). Not many can get the 100% melee crits that you can, to really take advantage of using this weapon. And if the healer types that want to spend thier points on melee crits and can get thier optimum damage weapon from an easier mob, and knowing how rare the drop is, I personally don't have a problem with it. Gives everyone else a better chance to get the other weapons, that are probably better for their spec, if people with the club aren't bidding

I think in general most 2 handers are underpowered as the DPS option they should be. For instance alot of classes do more dps w a 1 hander then a 2hander. 1 handers now hit 90+DR, 2 handers still are generally around ~105. 2 handers in general have not scaled like they should.

IMHO 2 handers should be hitting ~120 DR in EoF.
