psst 100 dps mod does not equal hitting 2x the amount its actually 125 dps mod to equal 2x or 100% when you mouseover i think 125 maybe a lil less i know its over 100, 200 only equals 125% which is the cap

Edit: inquis battle speced can get 91 dps mod (101 if 5 peice eof set) 20haste 20 double attack 100% melee crit, that doesnt include when they turn on fanatacism, its pretty fun

I was just going with what Ishbu said. I really didn't want to log in to attempt to get my dps mod to exactly 100 and get the percentage from there. It really doesn't change the result of the comparison.

If it makes you feel better, pretend we both said 100% dps mod.

I love my Vraks club, I got it very early in KoS so I've had it a long time. After the first few months, I got tired of it. Sure, it was fun hitting for over 5k crushing, but I wanted more, something different. Raiders are just that way. We get tired of looking at the same thing for more than a few months. I've had this thing before I ever cleared any KoS raid zone. You'd think I'd have something better by now.

Alright, I admit, the avatar 2h's are pretty good.

I have collected many 2h's in hopes to find one that would be better. I have one from 3 princes and PHH, both contested mobs, and both of them suck in comparison. EH 2h's are close, but no cigar. This is ridiculous.

At least make the procs worthwile. For instance,

Kohr'athian Reaper from PHH has a similar proc to Rak'Leklo 2h from Labs.

\aITEM -1824581657 1598228238:Rak'leklo, Runeblade of the Doomflight\/a

Kohr'athian has a life draining proc, 281-343 and heals for 183-224
Rak'Leklo has a life draining proc, 308-376 and heals for 212-259

Stats subject to change since I'm not at home and trusting Xanadu's pictures, but WTG on backwards progression on the procs. Lab proc better than EoF contested.

Yes, I'm talking about every priest and fighter's favorite two hander - the Vraksakin Claw Club.

The two hander on the left drops of Woushi, the boss mob of Emerald Halls, which I believe most would agree is presently the hardest raid instance in EQ2.

The two hander on the right, the Vraksakin Claw Club, drops off a dragon in Temple of Scale that can be one grouped by a pick up group wearing Xegonite armor.

Forget about the adornments on each weapon when you look at these pics. Just look at the weapon itself.

The EH two hander has nicer stats, sure, but the only purpose of two hand melee weapons is to cause damage - only a sub-functional retard would use a two handed melee weapon for its stats rather than it's damage.

The EH spear shows a better damage rating, but that is misleading to the point of being meaningless. The spread on The Club is wider and higher. The Club has twice as good a proc as the spear. Both weapons have the exact same delay and proc rate.

With each weapon equipped and just doing autoattack damage, The Club parses about 25 percent higher damage than the EH spear. That's true regardless of mob type, in apples vs. apples comparisons of just standing and killing a mob with the spear using nothing but autoattack, and then killing the same mob with The Club.

Items in this game should not be like this. I should have the incentive to upgrade my items. I should want to get better, fancier weapons from mobs that are harder to kill. It should never be the situation that raid guilds camp and farm easy mobs to get the best weapon of it's type in game.

The bottom line is this, in my opinion: The damage on these weapons should be reversed. The Club is way overpowered and will continue to be the best two hander in game until the next expansion unless this is changed. And that would make no sense at all.

You have no business to speak of the 2hnders for defilers until you provide screenshots of you with dps stiks and parses that show you out dpsing dps classes that pre-date mine.

I'd MUCH rather the claw dropped from an Instanced Zone mob that you KNEW was going to be up every ~5 days and not have to camp some contested and hope he doesn't pop when you're not on or don't have enough guildies logged in to go gank it.

It's a rare drop from my experience. I've seen that damn dragon die at least 14x and only once a club dropped.

I agree that DR is totally meaningless. Well for 100% Crit spec'd healers. I look at Max damage then specials then delay then stats. The only other 2h I'd take over the Vrak Claw Club is the Tunare staff... but I doubt i'll ever see one of those.

Just decided to post some data on other 2h as a comparison. I wanted to get some "real" data cause paper math is all well and good but I like to make sure what I think my weapons are doing is what some DEV actually programmed them to do.

I went and thrashed some of the golems outside of the Nest (65^^^ heroics). Nothing too scientific so I turned on the ACT and killed 5-6 for each weapon.

Specs: I'm a 100AA 70 Inquisitor w/ Battle Cleric, 100% Melee Crit, +91% dps, +20haste, +20% double strike. No potions were used and I was ungrouped/solo. Didn't use Fanaticism.

Stats show from /weapon command. "Listed" was taken from examining the weapon

Maul of the Warden's Fist (MoA Raid zone)
Str: 322
Listed: 55-310 : 4 sec
Base: 101-573
Actual: 132-749
Delay: 3.3
Scintillating Restorative Ubiq
FT7
Melee Weapon hit for: Low - High and DPS (all CA+Spells+Auto Attack/Melee)
Strikes: 750-891 DPS:724 -- 750-909 DPS:770
----
Blackscale Maul (Blackscale Sepulcher)
Str: 296
Listed: 96-545 : 8 sec
Base: 178-1008
Actual: 229-1298
Delay: 6.5
Sparkling Fiery Pith
Strikes: 1299-1632 DPS: 654 -- 1299-1385 DPS:752
----
Hammer of the Tribunal's Judgment (Nizara)
Str 296
Listed: 25-277 : 3 sec
Base: 47-421
Actual: 60-540
Delay: 2.4
Tribunal's Judgment
Strike Range: 541-653 DPS: 638 -- 541-673 DPS:704

If another similar toon w/a claw (and some/all of these weapons) could go up and whack some of the golems and post a comparison. I'd really appreciate it!

I very rarely use any other 2h than the Warden's Fist so that might account for the higher DPS as I'm more used to the timing of the weapon in fights.

My high hit in vs a raid mob was with the Blackscale Maul (go figure) for just over 3k damage. Not really sure how relevant that is but there ya go.
