Is there a faster way to get Freeport militia Faction other then doing writs that only give 150?

Im trying to get enough to get the Plate looking armor for my necro need 20k sitting at just under 6k now

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There should be some newbie zone ares that have faction rewards towards the militia. Check out all the quest lines on eq2.wikia.com for the level 1-18 range just to make sure you have done them all.

For a bit I focused really hard on getting my Tunarian Alliance faction up but got so bored with the writs that I went back and did all of the newbie quests...
