I actually just played an offensive variation of this deck that ditched Tranquility and used Reanimates to bring out high cost units (kept getting Naggy back out). It kept enough units out so that if I killed one, it would simply bring another out. Since it could bypass combat, I couldn't defensively damage it either. I failed at out-questing it, since it also brought back Disables with Gambit. All I can say is ouch.

I have no doubt in my mind that when tournaments start that some variation of tranq/divine aura deck will win. Its really just an extremely powerful design.

Well Kensu has a new deck now. I just went up against it last night x2.

It appears to be a deck with:

    Blessed Aid x 4
    Manastone x 4
    bloodwine x 4
Boots of the storm x 4
    Fiery Avenger x 4
    Wager x 4
    Bloodlust x 4

The rest of his cards are trash to throw in the discard pile.

On turn 1 he plays the mana stone / Bloodwine. If it's the mana stone, he uses it, and he then plays blessed aid to get his boots if he doesn't have them or his fiery avenger.

If it's the bloodwine, he plays bloodlust to ensure a quest is completed next turn.

On turn 2 he pulls out the boots and loads up another bloodwine / bloodlust to ensure that he can summon Fiery Avenger next turn

On turn 3 he pulls out the fiery avenger and attacks
At this point he plays wagers and repeatedly discards until he has won the fight and then exerts fiery avenger for 4 dmg. The wagers ensure he gets the cards back.

On turn 4 he chews through the cards in his hand playing any wagers he may have (saves a bloodlust) until he wins the fight, exerts for the 4 dmg, and then bloodlusts the boots and repeats.

It's game over every single time.

If you sunder his fiery avenger, he just brings out another one.

His record is something like 550w-39L now.

The key to most fiery avenger decks is killing them before they kill you, unless you are a priest or scout with a ton of avoid combat cards.

Aye, I almost beat one using a series of Shock of Fire and Sunstorms, but couldnt get a lucky draw and another Sunstorm to finish the guy off the turn before he did me in.

Well, defeating the deck isn't all that difficult if you build a deck designed to beat it. However, why would you randomly use this deck in a tournament when you can't change it? I play scout. If I designed a deck to beat this one and used it in a tournament chances are I would win....that match......and get horribly......horribly crushed by every other deck in the tournament.

The goal would be to build your own strong deck that works as fast or faster than theirs which they will have to react to. The problem with a multipurpose deck is that more cards in your deck = less consistency of draws, and you'll be playing what feels like a different deck each game.
