Sooner or later, you will end up with extra game cards and loot cards you don't want or need. You can trade your extras to other players on any EQ2 server. How to trade in LoN wasn't intuitive to me at least, and took me a while to figure out. So I thought I'd save others the effort and create this basic tutorial.
I've been surprised that many players I'm trading with, including those who are fairly advanced at playing LoN, don't know how to trade using the interface, and I have to end up explaining all this repeatedly. So if you don't know how to trade, you should read this to avoid looking like a LoN noob.
Here's how to trade in LoN:
Enter Game (duh):
I understand the temptation, but DON'T start by clicking the TRADE button first. Instead, start by going into CARDS and telling the game which cards you have that you're willing to trade.
Arrow to a card screen - you have two choices. You can choose to either mark all cards for trade, or only mark cards for trade when you have more than four of the same card. Make your selection.
Next, before you exit this screen, SAVE DESIRED QTY CHANGE to save your selection of cards you are willing to trade. If you don't do this, the player you want to trade with will only see your cards as "greyed out" rather than full color and available for trade.
Next, move your cursor over to the left side bar, and select HOME to return to the main menu:
Ok, now you can click the green TRADE button:
Right click the player name you want to trade with, and select TRADE:
You will be able to review all the cards that player has designated for trade, including loot cards and game cards. Right click the card you want to trade for, and select ADD TO TRADE.
Ok, the rest should be obvious. If you can't figure it out from here, you are dumber than me.
