Unfortunately, SOE can't officially permit betting in LoN. The reason is because you can purchase LoN cards for RL money, adding an interface to allow betting with them would create problems under state gambling laws.

also would aid plat farmer/sellers to isolate on one server and host shell tourneys to send plat off server.
