How should SOE punish LoN beta exploiters ?

So, i was made aware of a huge expliot with lon beta the other day. Not gonna go into it, but it is an exploit nothing less. So i thought, i wonder how soe will deal with this. The game is in beta , but you can use the exploit to gain items on live eq2 servers so there must be some kinda punishment , right ?

Just like I said, I give it a week before someone exploits something.

SoE should do nothing. They are beta testing the bugs, its all legit.

This is why we test shit on the test server. SoE dropped the ball again for the 999th time.

Also, I don't know how anyone can say ban their accounts, since exploits and bugs exist in beta and no one has ever been banned for a beta bug to my knowledge.

Don't know what exploit it was, but since it's beta I vote for "Just take back ill gotten gains".

It's beta I wouldn't do anything about it except make sure its fixed for when the game goes live as that is the point of beta afterall to find bugs/exploits that could be very harmful to the game when they go live

Welcome to Impossible Land. The land where you exploit something, get as much of it as you can, then trade it all away for non exploited items and plat.

Impossible Land should not exist on Live servers. Soe made it so.

Finding a bug, and exploiting that bug are two completely different things. You maybe replicate the bug a few times to show that it is indeed repeatable, then you stop, and inform the proper people (not your friends).

Sugar coat it any way you like. If I found a bug on test that allowed me to get 1 AA every time I did /wave and I did it 1000 times, reported it after the first one and after my 1000th one, I would not get suspended/banned. Its the fuking TEST SERVER.

If you turn it in they should reverse the effects and you shouldn't be banned, otherwise, ban their ass and all of their friends they told.

I say we ban every single person on the Test server that have played on it the last 3 years then. Every single one of those exploiting bastards and there friends to!

I understand exactly.

But, do test players have the ability to sell their ill gotten gains through the many websites/companies out there? If they do, there are some retards buying plat on a test server.
