It seems about a third of the time that I log into LoN that the game times out and it kicks me to character select.

Is this a common occurance? Have to do with LoN server load? Or just something wrong with my particular computer?

I often get a C++ error that totally crashes EQ2. But I've never been booted to character select.

I get the C++ error too, never been booted.

I get booted character select every time I log in for the first time. After I log back in it works just fine.

Don't click the X to close the window. Exit with the exit button in the slide menu, or minimize with the circle next to the X up top right. Also, if you've minimized the window, don't zone. Before you zone open up LoN and exit with the exit button. If you're in a heavy traffic area, don't play. Find a nice place where there isn't a lot of players. EQ2 players, I've gotten several crashes when playing from inside my home, I don't know if the recent patch fixed it, I just have stopped playing from inside my house. If you get the bug where you can't see the cards in your hand, then you need to exit out of the game completely LoN and EQ1 or EQ2 depending. If you just exit out of LoN, then you'll get the c++ error when you try to start it back up.
